Chit-Chat
I sincerely hope that is not an regular occurrence. It is a strange enough day as it is - appearing once every four years.
[See, this would not a strange comment... except it obviously sounds like he is talking to himself as there is a pause and then - ]
I suppose we could ask them if we ever got home, though the literature in the library does not give meaningful insight into it.
[Pause]
Now, you had better not be telling that to the others if we go back! You'll send them into a panic. Like we need more of it.
[Again, a pause, and a small laugh.]
All right, all right, a sweet cake for your silence.
[The journal can be a sneaky thing, can't it? Because it is open and broadcasting this as Vanyel walks with Yfandes through the thawing grounds flipping through the journal, and since they are right next to each other, well, why not talk aloud? Of course, if you do not know about Yfandes, you have just been treated to a very strange conversation.
Which he fails to realize as he continues on, though this time is is actually addressed to people - ]
To anyone who has some sort of magical ability - or what would be considered magic back your reckoning -
I had spoken of this briefly with Apollo and it has been on my mind since a completion of my own trials, but is there a specific place that residents can do in time of emergency? And how well is it defended? I had thought of perhaps taking a large, spare room in the castle and ward it using different spells working together. I know this might cover only a small multitude of possible threats, but I think it might be better to have something in place constantly versus having to set it up every time in a crisis - of which I have come to understand have been quite a few.
[ooc: I live! So, journal or action! :3 ]

[He laughs, then pauses.]
Yfandes says it is easiest to understand by simply saying we count by the phases of the moon.

[He chuckles.]
How have you been?
no subject
Have you made any progress on that project of yours?

And we are discussing it. There are factors that might make it more difficult than I first imagined.

Well, let me know if there's anything I can do. Doubtful as that may be.

Also, if you ever need any heavy-lifting, I can do that too.

And I know. She's... been doing that for a long time now.
