I do not know why this is even happening. Ghosts should be doing this, if it needs doing.

Speaking of which...I haven't seen the ghosts around today.

Figures. I suppose they are lazing about and eating bonbons.

So we are temps for the ghosts' day off? What a dastardly scheme.

I am sure that the castle thinks it will instil a sense of unity, or some other such idiocy.

[deterrence]

It does seem to be having a fascination with such...values lately.

[Molotov just shrugs. There is nothing in the entire world that can make her cooperate with others when she doesn't want to, so the castle can throw all the hissy fits it wants to.]

Why? It seems detrimental.

Why the castle would want to instill that in us? Or why anyone would bother with it?

The former, mostly.

Mind, this is just me speculating -- [she adjusts her scarf, as a pause while she thinks]

There has been some dissatisfaction and conflict taking place. I do not know the details of what happened, however, a sense of unity might change that.

[and wouldn't it serve to make residents less inclined to leave, then?]

A unified force is a successful one. And the main goal among the residents is to find a way out.

[deterrence]

Arguing amongst ourselves doesn't do anything for the castle, either.

If the castle enjoys peace so much, I doubt it would inflict so many horrible things on us.

"Horrible" is itself a relative term. I found the previous castle-instigated incident [Valentine's. No, not elaborating on the details.] more embarrassing than anything, but hardly as awful as some other things it has done before.

[molotov]

I take it you were not here for when the castle kidnapped and tortured all the children.

[deterrence]

I was. [she blinks in realization when it occurs to her --] Why, that was a year ago.

[molotov]

Da, it was.

Not long enough. Quite noticeably long, though, and I don't think anything the castle's done since then has been worse.

[as for residents, that's another story altogether. And castle-manipulated residents, if we're going there]
