For those who cannot fly, yes. There is a spell that creates large, temporary butterfly wings.

Aaaaaand what if you can already fly? I think that guy over there can. [ she points to some random guy lsiudfiof ] What if he wants wings too?

Hmm. It may be so, but he is not the one who so strongly reminds me of a bird.

[looking at this girl a bit more critically, both ears twitching forwards]

I do not know. The primary purpose of this spell is to give wingless ponies the ability to fly, but as long as thou dost not use thy own wings, there should be no interference.

[the wingbeat speed probably won't match up or whatever]

[she chuckles. Well, that just confirmed her suspicions.

But really, she just assumes that the girl thinks that the butterfly wings are pretty or whatever and wants to try them out.

[ okay, give her a second while she freaks out gently, reaching back to touch her new wings gently, moving them experimentally, differentiating between the muscles that control them, and the ones that control her original wings, tightly held close to her spine. she beats her new wings and hovers a little in the air. ]

[ she looks at luna again. talking animal with wings and powers. she knows it's the longest of longshots, but she has to ask: ]

There are many schools in Equestria, ranging from general village schools for everypony to specialized flight and magic schools for Pegasus ponies and unicorns, respectively.

Yes. That particular ability is rather useful when it comes to clearing the skies.

Are you sure? I used to want to touch clouds all the time, before I figured out that they were made of air and cold water.

[she suppresses a sigh and trots on over to the cloud she brought down. And then jumps on top of it like it's solid ground.

Jumps off!] Wouldst thou like to try?

[ bug eyes for a second, because this is one of those things that she fundamentally understands to be true and it is being shattered in front of her!!!

although touching clouds? heck yessssssssssss. she walks over to the ledge, stretches out and touches the cloud tentatively. ]

'Tis an ability inherent to all Pegasi. Other ponies need that same spell if they were to visit Cloudsdale or any of the other Pegasi cities.
