[Peeta is glad not to be a puppy anymore. His first order of business is checking on friends. After a quick check, he sighs, picking up his journal and speaking into it.]

I’ve seen so many of my friends come and go. So many are gone. Especially from my world. No Haymitch, no Finnick or Johanna or Cinna. Now Rue’s gone. I’m sorry to any of her friends.

[Sorry Clove. Not including you on his list.]

The year’s not quite over, but so much has happened. Some things painful, and some wonderful. I had a baby for a short time, I made friends, I learned some bad things, I have a wonderful girlfriend...

At one point, I acted like a fool. I thought I could solve all the problems by myself. And I’m sorry to all of you that have been here and been trying to figure this world out for my arrogance. I was angry and impatient.

I’ve been stuck as a puppy for so long. You get thankful for little things, like standing and using your hands. [Chuckles.]

I miss those that are gone, and I’ll remember them, but I’m going to remember to cherish all the people around me.

[Laughs.] Oops, I talk too much sometimes.

[First, Raine traces an image into the journal.]

When we recently visited Lastlook, we found an odd carving with this symbol. Apparently, this was meant to be a warning. You'll be able to see the origin of this infection thanks to a journal found in the library that had apparently once belonged to another castle.

[Which she's diligently copied for future reference.]

Several months later, residents began to manifest signs of illness, followed by an abrupt personality shift into what the Earth-based Christian religion defines as "Seven Deadly Sins". They became consumed by the personality traits defined by the sins, and as we learned from the journal entry could be returned to their former selves with an application of the proper opposite "Virtue".

To cure this infection, we needed to find the following items:

HUMILITY (movie tickets) and PRIDE
CHARITY (blanket) and GREED
CHASTITY (locket) and LUST
KINDNESS (stethoscope) and ENVY
DILIGENCE (flashlight) and SLOTH
TEMPERANCE (spoon) and GLUTTONY

[She also copies the original instruction paper.]

The final piece of "Virtue" was a bit of a broken sled to represent Patience, and the solution that time really was to hit someone infected with Wrath with it. I suppose the impatient one was right about that much.

In the same handwriting as the original entry, the following poem was found which allowed us to locate these items:

I found these clues in particular to be very interesting. At the least, this suggests that Cair Draconis had a Seasons Room, a movie theatre, and a Lost Room of its own. Are these locations standard for all of the castles?

Moreover, and I do hope that Doctor Gene Brewer is out there somewhere to read this, I must criticize these methods of quarantine. To begin with, if a dangerous weapon is to be kept from others, leaving it in a location clearly marked on several maps is a terrible idea. The very Lost Room that one of these cures was found in had a picture of Lastlook in it, prompting investivation. Moreover, the virus was held in a cave that had vast amounts of treasure, which also prompted investigation. There were no warning signs that would be intelligible to someone who didn't know those symbols - it's always best to use clear pictograms in the event that those you are trying to warn do not read your language. [She'll sketch a few examples.]

Why, it almost seems as though someone subverted his original warning and was attempting to lure us there in the first place. How very rude.

[Well, the worst is over. He's not longer infected by the virus, and he's managed to get back into Rapunzel's good graces again, but it still really bothers Garry that there are still so many people out there that he yelled at, insulted, hurt, and generally mistreated while he was in that wrathful state, so he opens the journal, clearing his throat before he starts to speak.]

Um, listen. I...I want to apologize to the castle residents. A while ago, I made some really mean statements over the journal, and I had some conversations with some of you that, erm, didn't exactly end well.

I really want to say, that from the bottom of my heart, I'm really sorry for what I did. I know it was because of the virus that was going around a while ago, but still, what I did...that was inexcusable, it really was!

[A sigh.]

So, if there's any way to make it up to any of you who I hurt during that time, please, don't hesitate to tell me! I really feel bad about it, I do. I promise I'm not like that at all, I'm not. Really.

[And an awkward pause as he closes the book. People will find him hanging out in the lobby in a chair, looking rather morose.]

[ Dictated ]

First things first, I suppose. To anyone I was rude to during the... event, please, accept my sincere apologies. I was not myself, but I am sure you all know that by now, but nonetheless, it was unacceptable behavior.

And on to the second thing, I am taking Yfandes down to the town to get proper snow shoes put on. If no one minds, I was going to take several of the other horses down as well. I know some of them here have owners, so I do not wish to over step my bounds. Let me know if any are off limits, though I am happy to take anyone's down.

Since I'll be in town, I don't mind running some errands if anyone needs anything. Yfandes can handle herself while the shoes are going on, some I will have some spare time.

[ Action ]

[ That said (and feeling like he might be making a small recompense for the trouble he no doubt caused when he was infected), he tucks his journal into his coat and looks over to Yfandes, who is waiting patiently for him by the entrance to the barn. She is wrapped in a dark purple-blue blanket with the pegasus rampant on the rump (like a cutie mark). Her legs are also wrapped in the same color with sheep's wool poking out from the top. His breath misted and he smiled, patting her warm neck and receiving a gentle nuzzle in return.

Quietly, the pair began to head for the village, that is, until Yfandes got it in her head to play a game.

She nudged Vanyel and he laughed, and a mage-light appeared. Grinning, he set it after Yfandes, who brayed and cantered off to avoid it. She might be a lady, but she needed her days to have fun too and to prove she was still a filly at heart and in body. Vanyel grinned and trotted after her, the mage-light flickering this way and that as Yfandes twisted and spun, graceful as a ballerina, hooves chiming merrily.]
