[Gary is still half asleep on his hotel bed...he reaches over to the bedside table to find his glasses then he sat up.

Well this wasn't the bed he'd been sleeping on the night before, which can only mean one thing...the castle has done another one of it's fucked up world changes.]

Ok...time to see what fresh hell this is.

[When he opens the curtains and catches sight of the billboards in the distance with the Japanese writing and the whole Japanese feel the city has he lets out a very agitated sounded.]

Oh you've got to be fucking kidding me...

[ Ignoring the fact that if this had happened the previous month he'd have won 80 Caisos Japan was not exactly his most favourite place in the whole world. After all if those fuckers at the Kyoto had actually been able to do their jobs properly and kill their victims properly he might actually still be alive and his world might not have gone to shit.

He's starting to believe the castle is doing this delibrately to fuck with him personally]

Is this because of the betting pool thing? Because there's really no need to be this vindictive Paradisa man.

[ Gary grabs a jacket and heads down to the main street...might as well take in some of the sights if he's going to be here for a while.]

[The time is close to sunset. The place: Tokyo Tower. Thanks to her fancy credit card, Aradia managed to get to the upper observation deck before it closes for the night. It boggles the mind how crowded it is, though. She decides to write an entry rather than try to talk over all the other tourists.]

ok so i glanced at a copy of the nostos map and it doesnt look like tokyo is marked anywhere
so either were not on the same continent or its just not marked
really we could be anywhere

anyway i went up to the top of the big red tower but i couldnt see any landmarks i recognized
the city pretty much goes to the horizon every way you look
i hope this update was as unhelpful for you as it was for me :I

...
the view isnt bad though with all the lights coming on
pretty impressive actually
if you dont have anything better to do some night it might be worth a look
anyway yeah i think ill just stay here till they kick me out
then i dont know what
maybe shopping
heh ignore me im just talking to myself

((ooc: open for action at or near Tokyo Tower! feel free to run into her. she looks like this, jsyk.))

This city is awesome! I've only ever seen this place in movies. I gotta say, it's nice to see the city when it's not being smashed up by giant bug monsters. Their fish market would probably give my dad a heart-attack, though.

Speaking of my dad, how cool is it that their god of the sea is a dragon? I couldn't pronounce his name to save my life but that's still pretty awesome.

[Muraki sits at small restaurant in Sumida enjoying a light lunch, clad in a time-appropriate version of his usual white suit]

Hm. How nice of the castle to provide a little glimpse of home, even if it is all a lie.

[He glances outside where crowds are already strolling by dressed in yukata and carrying blankets to set on the lawn.]

Coincidentally, today is the day of the Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival, if I remember correctly. It started in the early 1700s as a way to appease the masses after a devastating famine, and eventually became a competition between firework makers that continues today.

I imagine if you hurry, you can find a spot near the river to watch, though I'm sure you can see it from almost anywhere.

I'm already in the area, as it happens. I'd be happy to save a good spot, if anyone were open to joining me. Fireworks shouldn't be viewed alone.
