[The sounds and shadows in Nepeta's cave room were becoming a bit much, so now she's roaming around the halls with her hands tightly gripping her journal. Just in case. After all, if one of her teammates or friends needs her help, she wants to be ready!

It has nothing to do with her being scared. She's no scaredy cat!

When she speaks, she tries her best to sound confident. She's a fearsome huntress, after all.]

Not having the sun isn't so bad, but some of the other stuff going on is just plain creepy!

If anyone wants some company, I would not mind being that company. I know that some people might be scared, but it's okay! I am sure this will all go away soon. Just let me know! And you can make it private, too, in case you don't want others to know you are scared. . . . .

[Her voice trails off at the end, and her footsteps come to an abrupt halt. Nepeta makes the tiniest noise of uncertainty. DOES ANYONE HEAR THAT? No? It's just her?

Her footsteps pick up the pace.]

Anyone at all! I'm not picky!

[And that's when she hears the creepiest, most frightening sound of all:

HONK.

Aaaaand she shrieks.]

Yes! Well, sometimes. A lusus's job is to help teach a troll how to survive, so it is part of it, yes.

It is! I hope to hear more about my own lusus sometime, but only Equius really knows much about her, being my moirail and all. Maybe someday the castle will let me remember her again.

A moirail is something every troll needs. They're like a partner! Well, I like to think of it that way. Really, my job is to make sure Equius doesn't lose his temper and keep him pacified. His job is to purrtect me.

Oh so you look out for each other? That's like me and Twilight! I always help her out finding books and writing letters and stopping her from having meltdowns.

You do? Then it sounds like you are moirails, too! Wow, I have never heard of someone whose moirail is their lusus.
