Well this is a... little disorienting. I swear I was back home but the length of time I was there is longer than the length of time I've apparently been unconscious here. Could chalk it up to time travel... but I'm not sure if I actually went home for a while or if I've been in the clinic since I believe I was bit by one of those things. I doubt all of that was a dream if I really have been here since then... [Because the broken arm and ribs plus other injuries he got from fighting Cricket sure as hell hurt like they were real.] Has something like that happened to anyone else?

Stephanie, I'm assuming you had something to do with how I got from my room to the clinic, since the last thing I remember was waiting for you to come back. Given the number of people in the clinic, I'm also assuming that the threat's been taken care of or an antidote has at least been made...? Or is something still attacking people? What have I missed?

..Er, all right! Where are you, may I ask?

At the moment, I'm in my room, but I can go somewhere else if that's more convenient.

I see...how about the lobby? I can be there quickly! [he feels rude going to people's rooms he's just met!]

The lobby works. Is 15 minutes okay...?

[And he'll be heading down to the lobby in about fifteen minutes, with his little golem friend (see icon)]

[Tim is already down there, looking around for someone with something unusual looking. On hindsight, he probably should have said where in the lobby he'd be...]

[he meanwhile comes down, looking aruond until he sees someone else looking! He'll approach]

Ah...Tim?

[He smiles warmly.] Let me guess. Allen?

Yes, that's right!

[He'll hold out his hand for Timcanpy to land on it. Up close, this thing looks very much alive but it's clear it's made of metal]

And this is Timcanpy, my golem.

[Whooooa. He leans in closer to get a better look.] How was it made...?

Magic and science...? I'm afraid I'm not too sure on the details, my Master made him.

[Timcanpy flutters and stretches his wings a little at the attention]

Does it talk...? [He lifts up an index finger with the urge to reach out and touch the golem, but he holds himself back.] Or understand language?

He can understand us, yes! [Timcanpy scoots down on Allen's hand, closer to try to reach out to Tim's index finger!] Though he can't talk- he tries to communicate in other ways. Physical gestures, mostly.

[Tim laughs softly in amazement, a grin growing on his face as the golem reaches out to him. He brings his finger closer.] Hello, Timcanpy. I guess our names are kind of similar. Timcanpy and Timothy.

[It's a grab, and now he's hoisting himself up to climb onto Tim's hand, hello fellow bro. Allen chuckles]

Ah, that's right! I'd imagine you're called Tim like him too, huh?

[Tim nods, watching the little golem move around and paying rapt attention to how he does so, making guesses inside his head as to how that is.] How long have you had him?

I've known him since I was about eleven years old. I'm not sure how old he truly is, but...he's my oldest friend.

What does he do, exactly? Is he just meant to be a friend or does he have some purpose?

He records things. Images, sounds....stuff like that.

Other golems can be used as a communicator, though I've never seen him function like that.

So he's like a living video camera? [He asks with a slight smile of amusement.] That's pretty cool. And you always have someone with you too. Must be hard to get lonely with him around.

Yes, that's right! And it's true...if anything, when he isn't around it feels very strange, I'm so used to his company.

Thank you for showing him to me. He's... fascinating.
