Alright. I know there's been talk about a book club or whatever for a while. But, like a lotta things here, it seems like a lot of "we should" and "we'll do" and not enough "let's DO this."

So. This is me. Doing this.

I found a book in the library that looks pretty cool and if anyone else wants to read it, too, just let me know and I'll have the ghosts bring you a copy. It's called Ego and Enmity and the Undead. So, what do you think? Any takers?

What sort of pictures does it create? [she's very interested in this!]

[eat_me_beat_me]

Anything you want. [she pauses] I could show you if you'd like.

[chancing]

I would like that very much, actually.

[eat_me_beat_me]

Alright. Where do you want to meet? Or do you just want me to come by your room?

[chancing]

You can come by my room. I'm in room 306.

[eat_me_beat_me]

Alright. I'll be by in a few minutes.

[And, true to her word, she'll be knocking on the door in a few minutes.

[chancing]

[ and Cristina will be opening the door with a smile. ]

Well then, let us see this lite-brite.

[eat_me_beat_me]

[She holds up the box] come on, I'll set it up and show you how it works.

[She pulls it out of the box, holding out the bag with the pegs out] These are the pegs the light shines through.

[chancing]

[ she stares at the bag of pegs for a moment, a little amazed by them.]

They seem like such simple things. Can they really do something so impressive?

[eat_me_beat_me]

[She grins, setting up the toy on a flat surface]

Yeah! The light shines through them and it looks awesome. Here, I'll show you.

[She takes the bag, opening it and starting to put the pegs into the holes. After a moment a pictureappears. When she's done she shoots Cristina a grin] Ready? [She plugs it in and the picture lights up]

[chancing]

[She watches quietly while Nora puts the pegs in and when the picture lights up her eyes widen and she's definitely impressed. She lets her finger run over the picture just... in awe of this thing. It's pretty and she can't really tell what the picture is supposed to be, but she's defniitely impressed by it.]

This is amazing.

[eat_me_beat_me]

[She grins, watching her]

wanna give it a try?

[chancing]

I do!

[ she takes some of the pegs, but doesn't immediately start putting them in place. ]

What picture should I make?

[eat_me_beat_me]

[She shrugs] Hey, whatever you want. What's the first thing you can think of?

[chancing]

I think I will make a flower.

[ so she will! it ends up coming out a little like this (without the background).]

[eat_me_beat_me]

[She smiles] That's great! Pretty cool, huh?

[chancing]

[ she can't help but to laugh. ] I don't think it would be a stretch to say that this is one of my favorite future inventions so far.

[eat_me_beat_me]

Yeah? Well I'm glad I showed it to you, then. [she grins] there were a few good things to come out of the future I guess.

[chancing]

I think a lot of good things have come from the future. Life seems like it would be much easier and more exciting.

[eat_me_beat_me]

Well it's definitely more interesting.

[chancing]

Are there many other things like this? [ she's putting some more pegs in, but she's not really making any sort of picture. she just wants to see the lights. ]

[eat_me_beat_me]

like this? Like with the lights and shit? There are some things, I think. But there's a lot of cool stuff from the time I'm from. Do you like music?

[chancing]

I enjoy music when it is not being played by wandering minstrels looking for money.

[eat_me_beat_me]

[She smirks] Any instruments or type of music in particular you like?

[chancing]

No, nothing in particular.
