Mission 003 ~ Encounter in the trees[Action/Dictated]

[There's a figure sitting against one of the trees outside of the castle, relaxing. He has his helmet off, it resting off to one side, sitting with his eyes closed in the snow. His journal is open in his lap.

There's the sound of rustling, crunching snow, of something very small moving about. Jorge opens his eyes, looking about.]

Hello?

[No answer. More rustling. And then, something jumps out of a nearby bush.]

Piplup!

[Jorge stares at the little penguin-y thing as it hops closer and stares up at the SPARTAN. He turns to his journal.]

Uh. Has anyone lost a... Penguin?

Piplup?

((OOC: Open to all. Action or over the journal.))

Piplup!

[And the penguin jumps into Jorge's lap.]

Happen to know what it is?

I do not. [She laughs] But he is quite charming.

[noblefive]

[He? Uh oh... The Piplup fluffs up her chest in indignation]

Whup...Looks like she's a she.

[He sounds amused by this action]

[inafadingcrown]

[And the amusement couldn't be clearer on her face. She chuckles and addresses the Piplup directly.]

My apologies, little one.

[noblefive]

Pip! [That chest is still puffed up, there.]

Well, well. Looks like someone has some pride.

[inafadingcrown]

[Well, isn't that hilarious.] She is in good company. I hope, however, I have not injured her pride too greatly to offer my friendship- both to her and to you. I do not believe we have yet met. [A deep nod] I am called Galadriel.

[noblefive]

I would stand, it's just I've got my little friend here, taking up lap space.

Noble Five. Or Jorge, whichever you prefer. A pleasure.

Quite understandable. [Although when he does stand, she'll doubtless be impressed. At 6'4", she doesn't have to look up to many people. She'll just seat herself next to him, folding the end of her cloak under her as she does so.]

The pleasure is mine. Your armor seems familiar. Are you, by any chance, acquainted with York?

[Even sitting, Jorge is rather an imposing figure]

Agent York? Yeah. I met him earlier today. We're part of the same organisation. Sort of.

Then you have already the benefit of a fine ally. I have come to think a great deal of him in my time here.

[noblefive]

I've never met any of the Freelancers before now. Glad to hear they're as good as they say.

[inafadingcrown]

I will admit, I know little of the intecracies of your world, but we have spoken a great deal and he seems to me both kind and just, as well as well schooled in matters of war. [And she knows more about matters of war than you would guess by looking at her.]

[noblefive]

He's in the UNSC, I'd be surprised if he wasn't well-schooled. Experience can mean a lot.

That I know well.

I can't say the same for the Freelancers like York, but I'm easily the most experienced out of me and Noble Six. 30 years on the battlefield.

[inafadingcrown]

I do not know whether to congratulate you or offer my sympathies.

[noblefive]

Both and neither, I would say. No sense in wasting words on it.

[inafadingcrown]

[She chuckles.] A man of action and few words, I see.

[noblefive]

Oh, I talk plenty, ma'am. There's just no sense in covering my history.

Unless you're interested in that sort of thing.

I have always an interest in the lives and experiences of others; moreso here, where they are wont to vary so greatly from my own.

[noblefive]

[A chuckle]

Well, I'm sure you'll find mine probably goes on the far side of insane.

You may be surprised. I have seen much in my time, both here and at home; few things startle me as they once might have.

May not startle you, but it's still insane.

[inafadingcrown]

[She laughs] I begin to think most here might say the same. And if they could not before their arrival, they soon will be able to do so.

This place really screws with the head, huh? Great.

[Just what he needs. Another mind-breaking experience]
