Mission 003 ~ Encounter in the trees[Action/Dictated]

[There's a figure sitting against one of the trees outside of the castle, relaxing. He has his helmet off, it resting off to one side, sitting with his eyes closed in the snow. His journal is open in his lap.

There's the sound of rustling, crunching snow, of something very small moving about. Jorge opens his eyes, looking about.]

Hello?

[No answer. More rustling. And then, something jumps out of a nearby bush.]

Piplup!

[Jorge stares at the little penguin-y thing as it hops closer and stares up at the SPARTAN. He turns to his journal.]

Uh. Has anyone lost a... Penguin?

Piplup?

((OOC: Open to all. Action or over the journal.))

H-Hey, don't go jumping over that!

[Fron the scrabbling sound, it looks as though the Piplup has jumped into Jorge's lap and onto the journal]

Nah, it's just my job to gather up the strays and take 'em to the shelter.

[he chuckles] Hey girl.

Pip! [Someone seems happy to hear you, Gold.]

Stray, huh? Well, I've never seen an animal like her.

Course you haven't! She's from my world.

Well, what is she?

[billiardsplz]

She's a Piplup. Pokemon have a habit of saying their names. Or rather scientists have a habit of naming a species after what they say. Haven't decided which explanation is better.

Piplup, huh?

Is there anything I need to do?

You wanna keep her?

...Are you sure that's the sound of a penguin?

It looks like a penguin.

[noblefive]

Sure. I'm outside, not too far from the doors.

[A pause] You should be able to tell which footprints are mine.

Unless you wanna meet somewhere else?

[And it's at this point that Galadriel approaches, wrapped in a cloak and walking ever so delicately over the top of the snow. At the sight of the penguin and Jorge, she stops and gives a little laugh.]

It seems you have made a friend.

[noblefive]

Seems so.

Piplup!

[And the penguin jumps into Jorge's lap.]

Happen to know what it is?

[inafadingcrown]

I do not. [She laughs] But he is quite charming.

[noblefive]

[He? Uh oh... The Piplup fluffs up her chest in indignation]

Whup...Looks like she's a she.

[He sounds amused by this action]

[inafadingcrown]

[And the amusement couldn't be clearer on her face. She chuckles and addresses the Piplup directly.]

My apologies, little one.

[noblefive]

Pip! [That chest is still puffed up, there.]

Well, well. Looks like someone has some pride.

[inafadingcrown]

[Well, isn't that hilarious.] She is in good company. I hope, however, I have not injured her pride too greatly to offer my friendship- both to her and to you. I do not believe we have yet met. [A deep nod] I am called Galadriel.

[noblefive]

I would stand, it's just I've got my little friend here, taking up lap space.
