[He wasn't sure what he had been expecting, but it certainly wasn't this.

At first there's just a weird feeling in him, something that makes it feel like his insides are vibrating, reverberating from the Apple in his hand.

Then it bursts, like an explosion, with a gold light tearing across the room in all directions. It vanishes into the walls, and Ezio can't see where it goes, but he's startled enough to drop the Apple. He feels winded.

Elsewhere in the castle, humans may have just felt like something tried to invade their head, and unless the castle chose to protect them from it, it'll hurt like a blast to the head.

And then it's gone.

[it sneaks up on her out of nowhere. She should have been expecting it, and yet at the same time she wasn't. Then again, can anyone really be prepared for something grabbing hold of your brain?

She's walking down the stairs from Watchtower, intending on heading back to her room, when the pain seizes her. Her foot slips as she drops to the ground, but she manages to grab hold of the railing to keep herself from tumbling forward.

After a moment, it passes again, and when she feels the release on her mind, she takes a deep breath, and can't help but ask to thin air]

What the hell was that?

[Once he's got a spare second, a short while after the lights, he zips up to Watchtower.]

Tess. Are you alright?

I think so.

[she's starting to push herself up to her feet, trying to shake the sensation]

Do you know what happened?

[supes]

[He moves to help her up.]

No. I just saw lights, but didn't get feel any pain. As far as I can tell by listening around, the people getting hit seem to be human.

[lets him help her, before moving over to check the equipment and see if it was affected]

One of the many benefits of being a Kryptonian, I suppose.

You said you saw lights -- do you know where the lights originated from?

[supes]

I saw the general direction, but without plotting everyone and seeing where they saw it came from, it's kind of hard to tell where the center point is. I certainly didn't HEAR anything that might have caused it.
