xii λ the apple
[He wasn't sure what he had been expecting, but it certainly wasn't this.
At first there's just a weird feeling in him, something that makes it feel like his insides are vibrating, reverberating from the Apple in his hand.
Then it bursts, like an explosion, with a gold light tearing across the room in all directions. It vanishes into the walls, and Ezio can't see where it goes, but he's startled enough to drop the Apple. He feels winded.
Elsewhere in the castle, humans may have just felt like something tried to invade their head, and unless the castle chose to protect them from it, it'll hurt like a blast to the head.
And then it's gone.
What the hell was that?]
[Mini event post here! And an video example of what this looks like! Again, it won't effect non-humans, and any psychics who probe "back" at it will know whatever did it isn't organic.]

Are there more people than me who just felt something really weird?

His mind is his own perfectly calibrated tower of cards. Poke a corner, nudge the table, breath a little too hard, and it all folds in on itself. Cards tumble, overlap, get lost in the chaos.
He stumbles until he hits the wall, his palms against his temples. Elevated heart rate, rapid breathing, shift in blood flow. Autonomic response. Fight or flight.
Put it back, put it back, put it back.]

He's heading that way in a heartbeat, kicking in and out of superspeed fast enough to skip the stairs and approach.]

No, seriously, he is in the clinic when it hits him. The pain is enough to make him stumble when he gets up, a hand grabbing a hold of his temple while the other tries uselessly to steady him. Pointless, he ends up on the floor anyway, the chair crashing to its side couple of meters away from him.
Jesus Christ that hurts. It's uncomfortable, his muscles tense automatically, as if going on the defensive will stop whatever just happened.
Then, as quickly as it came, the pain and tugging is gone. Leaving John Watson on the floor hating his life, a soldier just attacked a force he couldn't see or begin to comprehend. ]
Shit.

[Allen was unaffected by the gold light, thanks to the pendant made for him a couple years ago. He was packing up his things to head out for the night when he heard the crash of the chair. Running to investigate]

dictated; because you said I could :P
No really he had. Quiet is nice and so is peace and John crashing to the floor and saying shit is not on his agenda of 'spend time with Helen Magnus in a magical creepy kidnapping castle that is somehow more peaceful then London'. Nope.
He has a written list you know, this isn't on it.
Neither are creepy weird gold lights going through the room.
So hi not-a-stranger, James is at least worried about you as he talks!]
I hope that fall didn't cause you too much trouble. [He cares! Really!]

She's walking down the stairs from Watchtower, intending on heading back to her room, when the pain seizes her. Her foot slips as she drops to the ground, but she manages to grab hold of the railing to keep herself from tumbling forward.
After a moment, it passes again, and when she feels the release on her mind, she takes a deep breath, and can't help but ask to thin air]
What the hell was that?

Bold italics is telepathy, text is talking
Rubbing her head a bit, she mutters something about keeping the volume down for these kinds of things. Then blinks in realization. That wasn’t the telepathic signature of an organic creature. It was a machine. And close too, somewhere in the castle from the feel of it.]
So she sends a message back in the Speech, just to make sure she’s understood.]
Um, hello? Do you need something?
[Then to the journal, somewhat crossly.]
Alright, since when do we have telepathic machine life? Not that I’m complaining or anything, but I like to know ahead of time before I get a signal, thanks.
Also, there's this thing called volume control. Work on it.
[And naturally, she’ll be heading in the direction that the wave came from, trying to find the source. Who be sending her calls??]

What is telepathy? Do you know what that was?

But he's still human. He stumbles into a wall, the books falling out of his hands, his journal landing open.]
What the bloody hell was that?! It felt like... [It felt like the Replicators probing his mind.]
Can't I just get one day of bloody peace?!

Reflexes may have saved him, but his mind takes longer to get over the stun. (Did that really happen or was it him... isn't he too young to have a stroke?) When it seems to have subsided, he looks down to find his jacket and most of his lap soaked, and his previously full glass smashed on the floor.]
Damn.

He frowned. Where had that come from? Was it the castle? No, it had come from somewhere. Jogging to a nearby window at the end of the hall, Jade could see the Ortus Tower. With how it had been moving, Jade could think it came from there.
Wasn't Ezio in the Ortus Tower? With that ting, the 'Apple' they'd been investigating; "apocalyptic device" and "all-powerful" came to mind. Jade walked back to where he'd dropped his journal and quickly flipped it open.]
[Filter to Ezio Auditore]
'That blast just now. Was that you?'
Jade Curtiss
I think so. I cast it aside as soon as I realized it was doing something, but I wasn't fast enough. What did it feel like?

If anyone happens to see him at the moment they'll bare witness to an extremely violent reaction. After all, Adachi's mind fosters his Persona too, who already on an almost daily basis causes Adachi some sort of pain.
Well those times feel like nothing compared to this.
It feels like not only an attack on his mind, but an attack on Magatsu Izanagi, whose physical pain is also Adachi's to feel. That equals double the pain for him.
He hunches over and clutches his head immediately, nails digging into his skull before ultimately screaming, tears forming in his eyes.
Approach him if you dare, but fair warning you might get a shock of zio (electricity) out of frightened animal-like instinct if you do.]
