[Not long after sunrise, the ship docks in a large harbor on the edge of a great city.

Welcome to Castelia City!



Tall buildings tower over the landscape, and people crowd the streets as they make their way toward their destination. There are seldom any cars in the crowded streets, as many prefer to travel by bike or by foot, or public transit.

It seems the ship has arrived just as the city is waking up to start its day. With a city this big, one might need the whole day just to explore it.

The ship's crew thanks everyone for sailing with them, as it has been their pleasure. They certainly hope their sea-faring friends will enjoy themselves in the city.

Really. You don't have to worry. It was a lot worse a few days ago. It'll be completely recovered soon.

[she's flicking her ears skeptically, but oh well. The most she'd probably be able to do is carry him to the nearest pokemon center clinic/hospital anyway. And she definitely does not know where that is.]

What about you? Do you know where your friends are?

[a shake of her head. And then she's looking around the park, clearly hoping that one of them might show up.

A questioning look. What about you?]

[ He misunderstands the look. ]

Do you want me to help you look for them?

[hmmm. Might as well. Maybe he'll find his friends too.

She nods, and then nods at her back. Better keep you off that foot, kiddo.]

[impetuous]

Really?

[there's a nicker that's probably some sort of encouragement. Sure her back is on fire, but the blue flames are mostly just a bit warm and maybe a bit ticklish. At least for you, at any rate.]

[impetuous]

[ His face splits into a wide grin. Scrambling as well as he can to his feet, he climbs on her back. There's wonder in his voice. ]

It doesn't burn! You're so warm!

[ BEST. DAY. EVER. ]

[there's a whinneying sort of laugh. Foals are so cute.

She gets to her hooves and starts trotting off. The grid-like search pattern soon lapses into choosing the prettiest paths because...well. It's nice to unwind a little.

She glances back once in a while, making sure he's okay and seeing if he wants to go anywhere in particular.]

[ She could stick to a small circle; he would still be happy. ]

Let's try over there. Do they look like you?

[she amiably heads off in that direction. She neighs at a couple of Blitzle and while they respond back, they're not her pony friends. They are kind of cute though, and she bumps noses with one of them in greeting.]

There are so many animals here I've never seen before.

[ He keeps his hands to himself, but he watches in fascination. ]

How about them? You can talk to them, right?

[she nods. Their 'conversation' continues for a bit and then one of them runs off and returns with an apple for her, which she munches gratefully on.

The other has decided to chew on Gwaine's pant let. Eeyup.]

Hey! I need that!

[ He struggles to free his leg without falling off. ]

[there's an amused nickering sound from her, and the Blitzle stops. It makes a questioning noise and looks up at him with big, apologetic eyes. Awww.]

[impetuous]

Not my trousers! [ He wags a finger at the Blitzle. ] But if you really want some, I know a few people you can get them from who won't mind.

[doublethefun]

[The Blitzle looks up at him, ears perked up and curious. Why would his friends want that? None of the other humans seemed to like it.

On the other hoof, Luna has started following the other Blitzle to a patch of berry trees nearby. They don't look like any fruit she's ever seen, but she noms on one anyway.]

[ His friend wouldn't. But that's the point of a prank. ]

Are they good?

[ He reaches across to pluck a few berries himself. ]

[there's an affirmative nicker, but by the way she's reaching for more, that's probably a yes in and of itself.]

Hmm.

[ He pops one into his mouth to try. If she's enjoying them, they must at least be edible. ]
