[Not long after sunrise, the ship docks in a large harbor on the edge of a great city.

Welcome to Castelia City!



Tall buildings tower over the landscape, and people crowd the streets as they make their way toward their destination. There are seldom any cars in the crowded streets, as many prefer to travel by bike or by foot, or public transit.

It seems the ship has arrived just as the city is waking up to start its day. With a city this big, one might need the whole day just to explore it.

The ship's crew thanks everyone for sailing with them, as it has been their pleasure. They certainly hope their sea-faring friends will enjoy themselves in the city.

CENTRAL PLAZA

[Busy city life tiring you out? Head on over to Central Plaza and take a rest in a beautiful park setting in the center of the city. It's an ideal place to sit and enjoy the day, or perhaps bring your newly acquired Pokémon out for play!]

[ Hey, who's that guy? You know, the one sitting on a park bench with a white hoodie that might look suspiciously familiar to some people. He's staring rather intently at his pokedex while a giant ass bird hangs out in a tree nearby.

WHAT DO? ]

[And the shiny Rapidash makes her way over to the park. There are just way too many humans looking askance at her or looking way too interested.

Don't know what to doooo and everything's too different. So she flops down under the shade of a nice tree, vaguely wondering why the grass isn't catching on fire.]

[York it sitting over on the edge of the fountain, trying to keep an eye on his new Lillipup and, of course, a rather shy Deltasaur.]

Okay, okay, now try, uh...I don't know, what kind of attack do you have?

[The two Pokemon look at him curiously.]

--I don't know how you two are supposed to grow stronger without training, okay? Give a guy a break.

[After wandering around the city for awhile Apollo finally stumbled upon the plaza.

He took a seat on one of the benches and stretched out. Putting a hand in his pocket, he pulled out a round ball and stared at it, considering whether it would be wise to open it.]

[Sitting on a park bench. Spike has been less into exploring than most of the residents, and all that enthusiasm eventually lead him to one of the less crowded areas of the park where he can sit and get full view of... whatever he's looking at.

He'd really like to spot a few familiar faces, but he won't make a show that he's searching for anyone in particular. Honestly, he wouldn't mind ignoring everything and taking a nap, but he has a feeling he'd end up regretting it.

In any case, he's not as peaceful as he looks. Any minute now, he knows something will come jumping out of the bushes or crashing into him from the street. Can't even trust a vacation anymore.]

[Newt has no idea what to make of this. No idea at all. Paris was alright, because hey, it was a real place and all and he liked traveling, but this place is just completely illogical, what with its creatures in balls and whatnot.]

[He's just sitting in the middle of the park, frowning and trying to wrap his mind around all of this. Also, there is a floating...thing going around Newt's head, occasionally emitting sounds. Seems like Newt's Lunatone is at home, even if Newt isn't.]

[Molotov is pretty good at rolling with world changes now. And it helps that she got the best starter Pokemon of them all. IT'S SO CUTE, you know you're jealous.

She's sitting on a blanket on the grass, cooing over her drippy little polar bear baby.]

Da, Chihanchka, da.

[ No, that is not a bad case of bad hair day causing Duke's hair to stick up ridiculously atop his head, but a Swablu. She is half occupied with sorting the direction of his hair, and occasionally letting him know where immobile obstacles are with taps to his head.

Has he mentioned that he hates his loss when there are changes in his environment? He finds somewhere more or less out of the way to sit in the park, see if he can coax the bird off his head into his lap. ]

[It's nice to be out in the sun after such an experience with the flood back in the castle, but Clopin would prefer it if he weren't being followed along by the strange little pinkish creature that seems to have latched on to him. Everywhere he goes, it follows him, and he can't seem to be rid of it!]

Little thing! Please, I am not your mother! Be gone, now!!

[Clopin makes as though to shoo the Mime Jr. away, and it mimics his motions exactly.

He pauses for a moment.

And then turns a cartwheel.

When he looks back at the creature behind him, it does the same, and he breaks out into a wide grin.]

Well well well! Perhaps you can stay after all!

[First things were flooding, then this little thing... it'd been making noise in a little bush, and when Jade had gone to investigate, it'd looked at him like he was the second coming of Yulia Jue.

Trying to leave it didn't work. It followed him everywhere. It was almost like a duckling in it's tenacity, and when Jade finally got out of its sight, it let out a horrid little wail.]

TOGEPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!

[The only way to get it to stop? Pick it up and carry it around like a child. Then it was the happiest little thing in the world. Jade finally gave up and took the little thing with him as he explored the place. It was interesting, with these little things all over the place, thank goodness none of the rest of them did this to him.]

[If Katniss is aware of the little fire-pooping monkey thing nearby, she doesn't appear to be paying it any attention. Odds are, though, she hasn't even seen it. Her mind, and her wary gaze, are on other things. Like the glittering skyscrapers surrounding the park.

A chill runs down her spine, because every second is drawing her closer and closer to the most obvious conclusion.

... This whole thing reminds her entirely too much of the Capitol.]

[Triela is walking with her Teddiursa. It seems to have developed a fondness for sucking its paw]

This is the first time my bear has been a living one.

[ Alicia has decided to take her Eevee for a walk. Keeping it inside a ball seems wrong. And it's very cute and reminds her of pets neighbors had when she was younger. It's interesting to get out of the castle but still not satisfying. This isn't Chicago. Ahead of her the Eevee frolicks in a circle. It's kind of cute.

[Steph's pretty much just standing by a nearby tree. She seems to be having an argument with someone... invisible?]

Stop that! Just... get out of the tree. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to be in there!

[standing in front of a vending machine near the fountain, wondering what she should get. THIS IS A TASK REQUIRING MUCH FOCUS AND CONCENTRATION.

...her Kricketot clearly does not agree, as it is hopping vigorously next to her in a display of "gurlllll there are so many trees and so much grass this is a friggin' park can we get moving already"]

[ On a somewhere is one Kate Kane, who has acquired a sturdy backpack from one of the shops and is currently removing the paper stuffing from it and dumping it into a trash can.

Not too far from her, a Zorua is playing around on the grass. It might be chasing butterflies or... maybe harassing someone! ]

[Martel is wandering around the plaza, looking at the sights, and unsurprisingly, her new Oddish has made its home balancing on her head. Pokeball, what's that?

[how strangely fitting that tiny Zelman gets another Charmander.

he's kind of just... sat down somewhere in the middle of the grass and is eating delicious food that he stole acquired from back in the market. his Charmander is eating a pastry. he doesn't know if baby dragon things are supposed to eat pastries, but he is not exactly an expert, and does not seem too concerned.]

[Alright. She knows she promised Dr. Beckett she wouldn't... but she really did feel better. So Rue is currently perched in the lower limbs of one of the trees, happy as she can be watching her new swablu fly around and bounce through the branches. She hums softly to herself as she looks out, watching everyone wandering around the park]

A wild Dhaos appears!

[Somewhere near the lake there's a guy in a bright orange cape sitting under a tree. He looks a bit intimidating, and the little legless grim reaper floating near his head doesn't really help. ...Of course, he also looks very, very lost.

[There is a spiky blond leaning on a tree and observing all the people passing by. An Umbreon sitting next to him mimics his movements. It's as if they were waiting for something, and while they wait, the blond sips on a paper cup, coffee, maybe.

Careful if you make eye contact...]

[Carson is just wandering about the plaza, a blue croco-thingy in his arms. It might look familiar, as it's something the doctor himself has turned into before because of the castle.]

[Hey check it out, there's a surly looking little ape ... pokemon ... thing just kind of standing out here in the plaza. The angriest chimchar you've ever seen.

He doesn't seem to belong to anybody -- what do?]

There is a Salamence in the park.

A very confused looking Salamence, at that. Some of the trainer's pokémon go up to him once in awhile, but it seems too baffled by life in general for them to get much of a reaction out of it. At least, with his size and strength, no one seems to be really willing to attack what seems to be a wild Salamence in the middle of the park.

At the moment, he seems to be looking back at his wings and flapping them up and down experimentally. Wtf...]
