[Not long after sunrise, the ship docks in a large harbor on the edge of a great city.

Welcome to Castelia City!



Tall buildings tower over the landscape, and people crowd the streets as they make their way toward their destination. There are seldom any cars in the crowded streets, as many prefer to travel by bike or by foot, or public transit.

It seems the ship has arrived just as the city is waking up to start its day. With a city this big, one might need the whole day just to explore it.

The ship's crew thanks everyone for sailing with them, as it has been their pleasure. They certainly hope their sea-faring friends will enjoy themselves in the city.

Wouldn't hurt. [Carolina nods, before pausing.] Before we go, there's someone here that needs your specific brand of help.

No, it's a girl. Looks pretty young. Says her father owes an organization known as Team Rocket fifty thousand. Met her in the hotel before you got there. [Glancing over at him, her expression is relatively serious. Sure, she's not the type to pick up something like this, but it's a way to actually do something and actually help someone rather than lazing around or even going out into the forest to play Do What The Castle Wants.]

[His expression gets serious, though.]

Did she say what for, or who these people were?

[Carolina shakes her head.] She was running from them.

Did she give us a name or anything to go on?

Kitty. [Which Carolina's not sure is a real name, but.] You're good at coming up with cash.

Did she say how to get ahold of her?

[Carolina pauses at that. Well.] Not exactly, but she's likely a guest of the hotel. I could pick her out in a crowd. Long blonde hair, a little short height-wise.

[Delta, of all people, recognizes that and tugs at York's pantleg.]

Huh? What is it, D?

[Delta uses his vine to tap York's recently purchased Pokeball.]

But Kitty--oh. Wasn't it A.K.--

Bulbasaur!

Carolina, did she try to sell you a Magikarp?

[Carolina raises an eyebrow before furrowing it.] No, she didn't.

All right. We'll definitely investigate, then. Sounds like someone I used to know, is all.

[Pausing.] Think it could be like Paris?

...I can hope. She was a good kid, even if she was kind of crazy.

Claimed she was a hundred-year-old vampire.

Not what I'd go around claiming to be. [Slight eyebrow raise.]

You're also not ten. Or stuck in a ten-year-old's body, whatever.

She did have some magic, though. Oh, and a shitty immune system.

Did she have long blonde hair? [The girl had seemed a little thin.]

Bangs in the front, long in the back, and big blue eyes. Eva--oh, what was it. Evangeline A-something K-something McDowell.

Her physical description matches up. [Well, they might as well go get a hold of her, then and see if she remembers the Castle.] Did she recognize you?

She didn't. I'll give her a little time, though--I bet she does before long.

I wasn't dropping too many hints, admittedly.

You were being subtle? [She raises her eyebrows at that.]

[He can be subtle! He can totally--]

I was avoiding the subject, all right? It's not nice to tell someone that everything they know is a lie.

[Mmhmmm. Sure.]

Hopefully she'll remember by the time we get back to the Castle.
