[Not long after sunrise, the ship docks in a large harbor on the edge of a great city.

Welcome to Castelia City!



Tall buildings tower over the landscape, and people crowd the streets as they make their way toward their destination. There are seldom any cars in the crowded streets, as many prefer to travel by bike or by foot, or public transit.

It seems the ship has arrived just as the city is waking up to start its day. With a city this big, one might need the whole day just to explore it.

The ship's crew thanks everyone for sailing with them, as it has been their pleasure. They certainly hope their sea-faring friends will enjoy themselves in the city.

So we're here with them for a week?

Probably. There's got to be a lot to explore.

Have you been able to find everyone else? I didn't get a chance in the hotel or boat.

[She shakes her head.] Not yet. I'm sure they're messing around with their own critters.

I hope we find them soon...

[ She bends over and picks up Eevee. ]

I wonder what Pokemon eat?

I don't think mine eats.

... I hope not, at least.

[amiable]

[ Eevee looks at you, Steph. ]

I don't have any money on me, either.

Do we have jobs here?

[amiable]

[ ... ]

I didn't see anything in the hotel.

[secondchances]

So... we take care of these things, look around, and somehow... not be broke?

[amiable]

This is too suspicious...

[ They already had Paris and it was nice... ]

You're telling me. I wonder how it ended last time.

We'd have to ask someone who was around then. [ ! ] Ino-chan and Allen-kun would know, but Allen-kun and I got separated on the boat.

I haven't heard either of them freaking out, at least. That's got to be good.

[amiable]

[ Eyes zoom back on Gastly. ]

... Is it safe?

[secondchances]

That? Uhh... I guess? He seems to like scaring me, but he hasn't actually tried to hurt me.

[Steph extends a hand to Gastly, but it just sorta flips upside down and makes another stupid face.]

[amiable]

[ Eevee doesn't seem too bothered by any of this. It struggles a bit, wanting to go back down. ]

Maybe we should go back to the hotel...

And sit in there for a week?

[amiable]

But everyone else should be there!

If they haven't set out to explore, that is.

[ Lets Eevee down so it can start sniffing Steph's foot. ]

So it's... a vacation?

I hope so. Paris with cute things. Mostly cute things, anyway. [She wiggles her foot around. She wants a cute thing like Eevee.]

Eevee really is cute. [ She smiles down at it. It will just raise a paw, poking at Steph's foot. ] I do want to know more about this place.
