[Dated to... after the Pokémon plot ended, before anything else weird began.

Rin is in Galadriel's room, crouched in front of what appears to be a giant pot holding her new Maractus, which came back with her. She stares at it rocks back and forth and makes weird cooing and burbling noises to itself.]

Weeiiiird... [Ah, breathless. And then her attention switches to the journal.]

Hey ev'rybody! I'm back! I don't remember anything that happened last week, mostly. [An exaggeration but.] But it was kinda fun, huh? I like these weird animals! They're a little scary too, though.

Yuh huh! And I'm looking at this weird thing...

It's like a cactus! Come and see it!

I'm in that room with all the chairs and stuff. When we first got here.

Well I'm in Galadriel's room. Come here! You can see it!

[...welp. on his way!]

[She'll be waiting to open the door for him once he gets there! 8)]

[he'll... at least remember to knock. so that's good.]

[prevenge]

[She has to jump to get the door open, but open it does and Rin peers out to beam at him.]

Hey! Hi Zelman! What are you doing anyhow?

[beforepride]

I was coming here to see your weird thing. [right? right!]

[prevenge]

Yeah! But before that! [Oh whatever.] C'mere. It's in a pot.

[beforepride]

Okay. [he will follow her inside to see her mysterious weird animal.]

[What do the kids end up looking at? A creature that is basically a big ol' living cactus, swaying gently back and forth in its pot, with two long flowering "ears" extending from its head. The Maractus has bright yellow eyes and a cute smile, and two cactus-ey arms too. It just keeps on making quiet clunking noises to itself, heedless of Rin who is staring at it now again, and Zelman as well.

... After a moment she whispers to him.]

See? Weird!

...What is it? It's one of those pets...?

[is it edible? :/]

It's a Pokémon I guess! [Each syllable gets dragged out long.] It's really weird, don't you think?

[beforepride]

Yeah. It looks kind of... [...idk, man.] Why's it making that noise?

[prevenge]

It just does that. Don't you think it's weird? [Blink blink.] It likes bread. Want to feed it bread?

[beforepride]

Not really. [:|] Why's it smiling?

[prevenge]

It's always smiling. I think that's just how it looks.

[beforepride]

I guess it's always happy. [......] Or its face is stuck

[prevenge]

If its face is stuck do you think it hurts?

[beforepride]

I don't think so. ...Doesn't seem like it's in pain or anything.
