For those of us who met either of us on our child loss, if you hadn't noticed: Legato and I are back to our normal ages. And also back out in the dead zone. [Fortunately.]

I spoke recently with Zexion, when the world changed to the Pokémon world. He informed me that the first gens have mostly departed, and seemed to indicate that they were fleeing something. Though obviously this hints there might be danger out in the dead zone right now, it's also an opportunity for us to explore without fearing attack from them while this lasts and I think we ought to take advantage of it. I know Aradia was planning an expedition too so this might be ideal timing.

He also informed me that in summer, the rivers on what he referred to as the "Totem Coast" open out and let people travel very quickly. I suggest we consider pushing in that direction and maybe making some vessels. This might be a good opportunity for us.

[She's damn well determined to get in on any expeditions that happen too, Legato-watching or no Legato-watching. He can go back in the cells for the trips, for all she cares. Speaking of Legato... thinking on him...]

I've been out here keeping an eye on the creep for a while now. I think you know who I mean - Legato Bluesummers. Blue hair, yellow eyes, murderous tendencies? I'm thinking I would like a break for a while. Would anyone be interested in relieving me?

I'm hoping we can actually put together rotating teams to help take care of this, as it's wearing for one person to do this.

He's been decently behaved, at least.

For anyone who might be in the outpost, now, Rin is sitting in the common room, paging through the journal quietly. There's a glass of water and a plate with a whole avocado and some bread and grapes next to her, but it doesn't seem like she's touched her food yet. Maybe she's just relaxing?

I asked her if the same thing had happened with the journals before - getting new ones like we did. And about what she knew about Libet.

What did she say?

... Quite a bit, which really surprised me, I guess. We talked for awhile. I've been wavering about how much I want to publish since I don't want her to think I was just pumping her for information.

You could always filter it away from her, I guess. [Though she can guess Lois maybe would feel deceptive, doing that.]

You could always say your source didn't give their name either, or say you knew they were trustworthy but wanted them protected from others prying. Anyhow, I don't know what about her and Zexion's stories not lining up perfectly. They might be keeping tabs on different groups, too? Reno's not still with the jerks, is she?

Trust me, I've considered all the possibilities. Just haven't settled on one yet.

As for Reno, she's traveling with Roy, actually. I just hope she knows about whatever's out there, if it's dangerous.

I don't know. Zexion was ambiguous. Maybe he used the word "fleeing" without there being anything to flee at all.

I asked her to tell me about where she came from, actually. She said no one had ever asked.

Did she tell you anything?

Her whole story, really. She led a pretty simple life, but I think it explains quite a bit about why she looks at us the way she does, and why she's so content to roam the Dead Zone with Roy rather than end up tethered anywhere.

Is she from earth? What time period? How did it explain her?

She's from Earth alright, though way before my time. She's from 1921, and ran a ranch.

I guess it just made sense to me: I know what farmfolk are like, thanks to the Kents, and the good ones really don't mean anyone else anything but the best.

Ah... well - hm. I wonder what made Paradisa draw her here. Do you know how long she's been here, anyway?

Not a specific date. Just that it's been years.

I wonder if we'll end up like that someday.

I think some of that depends on Paradisa.
