Um... I'm sorry I haven't really been around lately. I don't know if any of you know Peeta or heard him tell people what's happening but I didn't want you to worry.

[She takes a breath] In my world there's something called The Hunger Games. Every year two kids, a boy and a girl, are picked from each District to go to an arena and fight. [She pauses] There's only one winner... another girl from the Games I was in got here, Clove. She's what we call a Career. They train for years for the Games and volunteer to go.

I don't want her to know I'm here... at least, not yet. I've been staying with friends. I miss all of you, though. How have you been?

[Though she's not about to announce her presence she still misses talking to people. She hesitates a moment before picking up a pencil and writing a question]

What's your favorite flower?

It's a country in Europe. It's where I live.

Europe? I'm sorry, I only know about Panem where I'm from...

You may get to see it some day. The castle sometimes takes us to different places.

Like that world with the pokemon. [She smiles]

[triela]

Yes, exactly like that. [hands her a piece of cake]

My first time here, we went to a lot of different places. It's one of the things I like about Paradisa.

[fly_little_bird]

Yeah? We can't travel in Panem. Well... not unless it's for the Games. My District, District 11 is surrounded by a big electric fence with barbed wire on the top.

I like being able to see new places.

[triela]

You'll get to see a lot of new places. I'm sure of it.

[fly_little_bird]

[She smiles] I've already seen more here than I've ever even dreamed about back home. It's so amazing.

[triela]

[she smiels back, stirring some sugar into her tea. She handles the cups like a proper lady]

I know what you mean. Between the two times I've been here, I've gotten to see so much. I wish I could remember it all so I could tell my friends back home.

[fly_little_bird]

You've been here two times? [huh?]

[triela]

The first time, I was only here for a few months. This time it looks like I'll be here longer.

[fly_little_bird]

Do you remember all of it?

[triela]

I do. Not all of it is pleasant, though.

[fly_little_bird]

[She pauses]

It's not? I'm sorry.

[triela]

It's okay. [she sips her tea] You know, we can still plant that garden if you want. I've heard of people having indoor gardens.

[fly_little_bird]

A garden inside? [She stares at her for a moment, dumbstruck]

[triela]

Yes. We couldn't grow anything too big, but maybe an herb garden?

[fly_little_bird]

[She thinks for a moment before smiling and nodding]

Okay! That sounds like a good idea. We could put it by the window so it gets lots of sun.
