[Katara has never had issue with the beds in Paradisa. They were warm, comfortable, but as snug and content as she is in the blankets, she can sense that there’s something maybe just a little off. There’s pressure against her arm and side - something is cuddling her.

Momo isn’t in Paradisa. So what in the world —

She shifts just a little, groggily opening her eyes and looking to the side.

Oh. It was Joshua.

Joshua was cuddling her. Of course.]

[Katara flings herself back, knocking her journal off of the bedside table — and this is where it begins transmitting. She screams.]

What are you doing in my room? What are you doing in my bed? [Her voice just gets shriller and shriller.] Out, out, out, out, out!

[ And while anyone listening might expect just as loud of a reaction (After all this is a rather commonplace scenario here, isn't it?) from whoever is invading the poor girl's bed, instead there's just a soft grunt of irritation. He's half-asleep and not placing the voice, but the shriek sure sounds familiar. He mutters groggily, ]

Huh, Langley...?

Joshua?!

[Another shuffling sound, and the sound abruptly stops as Katara scoops the journal off the floor.]

Just do as I say, if you want me out of here.

[She wishes up a bucket of water, flinging it at the door and freezing it solid, before fixing him with a questioning look.]

[ Joshua assumes she understands how much easier it is to break something once it's frozen. And since he suspects this is either castle induced or reinforced from the hallway for some reason, he's not going to screw around.

Golden light suddenly sparks into life above his palm, the crackling energy not any bigger than his hand but obviously not something to be touching. Then Joshua flings it forward with a good SLAM the door. The explosive impact of his strength combined with the energy is enough to make her entire bedroom shake, the ice shattering and falling to reveal a large dent and crack spanning the length of her door. ]

Huh. Must be the castle.

[She steps back to give him room the moment the light sparks above his palm, tensing and setting her stance a little defensively as the room shakes.

It's really not opening, she thinks and almost says aloud, before realizing that he'd probably just mock her for that, too.]

I can't believe the castle has locked us in a room together. This is stupid.

[ He'd have to agree, especially if it lasts a week like normal. Turning, he squints at her for a bit before shrugging and turning to head back over to the bed, horns out of sight once more. ]

Guess I'll go back to bed until breakfast is made. Can you make pancakes? Or an omelet?

[Don't instigate, Katara.

.. I can cook. But only for one. And don't sleep in my bed!

[ At that, he makes a point of flopping noisily onto it and sprawling across it. Diagonally. ]

Then you might want to set up another bed for me. And who only knows how to cook for one? If you can cook, you can cook. No need to be rude.

You can wish up your own bed.. you don't need me doing that for you.

[But if he's going to flop on her bed, she's at least going to grab some clothes to pull over her wraps.]

And it's not that I can't cook for you. Mostly that I just won't. You're an intruder.

[ Sure he can, but they'd need to re-arrange furniture first, and he might be willing to help but noot with that attitude, young lady! ]

I'm not. I didn't choose to come in here. The castle trapped me in here. At least you're in your own bedroom, and all your things are here. How am I supposed to feel?

If I woke up in your room, I certainly wouldn't be rolling around in your bed.

[Joshua. You are wigging her out a little, bro.]

Just - please stay out of my bed? It's making me uncomfortable. We can make something to eat.

Well if you did, I'd tell you to stop rolling around. That's a supposed to be a mutual activity.

[ She probably won't even get that, but who cares. Wish a shrug, he grudgingly rolls out of the bed. ]

Fine. But that means you cook. I don't cook.

[A mutual..?

She shoots him a frown, but at least he's out of her damn bed.]

Okay, fine. I'll cook, but you're still going to have to help me.

[ You may be saying words, Katara, but they don't mean anything. So he's going to instead sit at the little table and rest his head there. Yaaawn. ]

[She snaps her fingers at him.]

I need you to crack some eggs into a bowl.

You can't crack eggs on your own? You're never going to find a husband.

That's me: poor, spinster Katara.

Eggs, please.

[ With a sigh, he gets up and walks over, then stares at the layout. What is this.

Taking an egg, he pretty much...smashes it into the side of the bowl, shell and all. Oh well, it's not like he expected any differently. He's never had to cook before. ]

.. quit sulking and just crack the eggs.

[She thinks he's just being spiteful. :T]

I'm not sulking. Someone else always does this.

You really don't know how to crack an egg?

[ The fact that this time he's just trying to pull it apart should speak bounds. The result isn't any less messy. HIS JAMMIES. B( ]

This is your fault, because you can't act like a proper woman for five minutes and make me some breakfast.

Me being a woman doesn't obligate me to cook food for you. Look. Watch. You do it like this.

[She demonstrates.]

See, there you go! Good job. Just like the proper, sweet girl I'm sure you are deep down.

[ He slaps her on the back...gently, since she's way tiny next to him. What is she wearing, anyway? It's not exactly flattering.

Oh wait he still has egg on his hand. ]
