[Doop doop doop... just in the castle lobby, but you know, it's Paradisa. There's always a journal open somewhere when things happen.

For a few minutes the journal picks up dictation of... mostly nothing. Rin talking quietly to someone, apparently Tad, from her tone and how there's no response back. This continues for a few minutes before she suddenly cries out sharply.]

Ouch!! Oh - jeez...

[There's silence for a moment. Whatever just happened, from her reaction it sounds like this was painful! But when she speaks she sounds... hesitant, and kind of nervous. A little more normal for her at this point.]

What's this...?

TARDIS get, door open:]

Right here. Let's have a look, shall we?

[Holds her hand up vaguely

gapes at the TARDIS]

What is that?!

[cricketycricket]

[ah, so you HAVEN'T your memory back. well, that's one theory on what your little timer's counting down to. he smiles]

This? It's my ship, the TARDIS. Lets me move about the castle and grounds a bit quicker than most. Bit cheeky. Bigger on the inside. Marvellous, really. Now, about that hand.

[he's already crossing the space to her, fishing for his sonic screwdriver]

[She leaves her hand up, palm out so he can see it, though staring nervously at what he's taking out of a pocket... she doesn't have much to say, just waiting.]

[cricketycricket]

[calmly] This is a sonic screwdriver. It will help me figure out what happened to your hand. [and you'll have your own once you get your memory back] I'm just going to wave it over your hand for a scan. It won't hurt.

[question is, since this is the castle's doing, what would it possibly say caused it? is it affecting her in any way? think of it as a tricorder that also picks up on temporal shenanigans in this case]

[The numbers were painful as they appeared on her hand... but that's over now. They aren't hurting her in any way either, or at least they don't seem to be; she looks anxious, peering at the Doctor intensely, but that's fairly normal.

The numbers seem to be mostly cosmetic at this point, is about the final word. The Doctor might take note, though, as he scans her hand: they do change with the passage of time. As a minute passes, the numbers blink down from 71:58 (where originally it said just plain 72:00, of course) to 71:57.]

[cricketycricket]

Well, Rin - [he pockets the screwdriver] - the good news is, it's not actually doing anything to you. The odd news is... you've three days until something, but I've not a clue as to what.

... Do you think it's something bad?

[cricketycricket]

Unfortunately, there's no way to tell. ... My educated guess? ... Perhaps that's when you'll get your memories back.

[payback]

... Oh.

[She looks... like she doesn't quite know how to feel about that.]
