Out of idle curiosity, how long after your arrival did your first loss happen? For those who have been on losses, of course. I know it tends to vary person from person, but I've been here for about nine months and haven't had one yet-not that I'm complaining!

And just for fun, for people who have had multiple losses, do you have a favorite? Or at least one that wasn't so bad.

[With that done he heads to the rec room. Anyone who happens to stumble in while he's there will find him playing an intense solo game of Wii Sports, and occasionally yelling at the TV when he messes up.]

I think it was about four and half months.

Perhaps. I imagine it was my price for damaging the microwave.

I wouldn't be surprised. The castle does seem a bit temperamental at times.

I doubt that will ever stop being strange.

True enough. I have seen little here that is not strange to me.

Most of the temporary ones aren't that sucky. Just embarrassing, is all.

Um... geez, I think about a few months, although that one happened along with a world change so I don't know if it count. It took almost a year before I got turned into an animal or something though.

Was it apart of the world change? As in, everyone else was also effected? Because if it was just you, it might count.

What kind of animal did you change into?

Not everyone, but there was a group of us. We all thought we were Navy Admirals who lived in that world our entire lives and we tried to chase down everyone else because they were pirates.

The animal was a rabbit.

That sounds like an interesting world change. Almost sorry I missed that one.

It wasn't bad. Sucked at first because I think a few people would rather have eaten me. But then I got found by someone I knew and pampered and fed and it wasn't so bad!

my first temporary loss was less than a month after i got here
although i dont know if it counts because all the trolls in the castle were affected
our blood all turned green for a day
that may also be the mildest loss ive ever had come to think of it

That doesn't sound too bad. Just a little unusual. But what isn't in this place?

well it makes a little more sense within the context of my species' arbitrary caste system
which happens to be based on blood color
a couple of the higher bloods were really pissed about it

What does it mean if you have blue blood?

thats like the aristocracy
violets and magentas are the highest
greens kind of middling
and yellow and rust are at the low end

So they were upset because they didn't like having some lower bloods share their higher position right? [He snorts none too politely.]

the whole thing is kind of silly though in my opinion
especially in light of the near extinction of our species and all
with so few of us left something like blood color is a really stupid thing to get hung up on :p

its never stopped some people though
