[It's a beautiful morning in Paradisa, seemingly just like any other. However... some residents may be waking up to notice... some oddities.

For starters this may not be the bed you woke up in! And this person, while likely recognizable to you, might not have been who you went to bed with last night! And some of you, well... you're not in a bed or even a room at all. In fact, you wake up next to a source of water... or in the water.

After that it likely won't take you long to realize what you're wearing. Some of you have some more uh... noticeable physical changes as well.

Don't bother trying to change clothes, ladies and gentlemen. Or should I say... Princes and Princesses?]

[The first thing to Maladict's mind when waking up next to Tesla is not 'what is even happening'. Because this has happened before. And it wasn't fun. So, without paying all that much attention to her dearly beloved, she sits up and glances around the room in terror.

She's looking for the creepy secret baby room]

No, Paradisa. You should have learned the lesson last time, we're really not fit for this job. Don't you remember the lost...

[Oh. There's no creepy secret baby room but she has noticed something weird about Tesla. She'll just stare for a moment]

[Tesla takes a little longer to wake up, mostly because he spent all last night modifying his projects, so he blinks wearily at Maladict's voice, frowning. God, did the stupid castle do something again?]

Wait, is something going on-

[Waitttttt a second. These aren't the clothes that he went to sleep in-]

[Tesla's face is pretty much the equivalent of a blue screen on a computer right now. He stares down at himself, looking completely dumbfounded.]

[He also might look more like a stereotypical vampire, what with his darker hair, pale skin, and reddish lips.]

[Likewise River woke up beside him to a strange sensation of clothing that hadn't been there when she'd gone to bed.

Sitting up, awake due to Eleven's constant shifting, she sleepily turns her half-shut eyes towards him.

Only to have them snap wide open]

Is that a dress?

[Laughter. Pure and simple]

[Ah, what a nice, normal morning. Fluttershy yawns as sunlight hits her face from the window, and she begins to shift around under the bedsheets. She begins pushing the sheets away, because she has a long day of animal care ahead of her! There are Pokemon to feed, and birds to fly with, and princesses to wake up, and -

Wait. What was that last thing?

She blinks once, twice, three times... Yep, that is definitely Luna in her bed. Why? How? She squeaks, unsure of what to do. She doesn't dare wake her up, so she just continues staring, oblivious to the other changes...]

[and the other hoof, Luna doesn't quite remember falling asleep because well. She likes to stay up at night. But really, the bed is just a bit too comfortable for her to actually find the energy to care. That sunlight is kinda annoying though.

She shoves her head under a pillow with a bit of a whine.]

[Adachi this morning finds himself enjoying a nice tranquil sleep, curled up and lying on cement. The moving water feels good and his tail contently sways back and forth- wait a minute.

There is something very wrong that causes him to wake up with a jolt.

[aslsdghadlkga the sound of echo-y freaking out makes Colette wake up sowly... Where is she? Ouch, this floor isn't very comfortable... And why does she feel like she has cotton balls in her ears? Everything sounds... really quiet. As she sits up and rubs her ehes she looks around... Is she in the pool room? Why...

Oh! That person freaking out in the water is Adachi! Just as she's about to ask him if he knows what's going on she notices......]

[hmmmmmmm, Maya is normally a pretty early rise, so it's not long before she wakes up and realizes.....

she has no idea where she is.

Where is she? Why is this room filled with desks, and test tubes, and experimental things, and just... STUFF everywhere? There's a second where she just looks around blankly... really confused. Finally she hauls herself up, and spots.... oH HEY, that's Wheatley! When she spots him she makes a beeline towards him]

[Wheatley however wouldn't respond right away. He'd be leaning over his desk, looking over something. Maybe he was reading notes? Writing notes? He'd have his back to her so it'd be hard to tell!

Upon a further inspection, she'd find that he wasn't reading notes at all! His head was down, and he was fast asleep. He probably fell asleep doing science or something, seeing that his books and notes were still open, and he seemed to never sleep. Ever. He wasn't a very pretty sleeper. He lightly snored and a little bit of drool trickled out his mouth onto the table.]

[ It's mostly the fact he's not in his own blanket nest that gets Duke awake. There's definitely a different feel to being in a shirt and pants, and tangled in blankets, than there is to wearing something... involving a lot more cloth... and... ruffles? and .. not tangled in blankets. ]

......? [ That's startling enough, but at least he's not curled up next to someone this time.

Nope, his carefully seeking hands are telling him that someone else is sleeping there, just.. not with Duke tucked up next to them. Castle what did you do now. ]

[Said someone makes a slightly displeased noise about being disturbed from his slumber. Sleepily, he begins to take stock of what's going on. Lessee, surrounded by blankets - hadn't he fallen asleep in a corner? - so probably in a bed. And being gently poked in the face. ...And in some sort of clothing that he hoped were robes of some sort... Dhaos opens his eyes and sits up with a sigh, turning to look at whoever was prodding him. Oh. Hello there Duke.]

...I take it this is the doing of the castle?

[ so, waking up next to a dude is pretty par for the course for the midnighter, being married and all. he immediately knows that something is wrong, anyway, when he realises that he's wearing clothes. (not a dress he'd reach across the fourth wall and strangle me, just fancy frilly shit. the computer wastes no time in telling him how massively impractical it all is.) next to register is his skin. he's always had a pretty healthy tan going on; why in the hell does he currently look like a vampire from a shitty teen novel?

he elbows apollo, sitting up, as he starts attempting to pull off this ridiculous shirt. ]

Get up; something stupid's going on.

[Apollo grunts into his pillow and sticks out a hand to blindly swat his arm away. Slowly he swifts onto his side so he's facing his husband. Part of the sheets moved with him, falling aside to reveal that he was in a similar-yet less frilly-outfit. He just hasn't realized it yet.]

What is it? [Blink.] The hell are you wearing?

[Ted's still quite groggy when he wakes up. He manages to peel his eyes open, and..... oh, there's someone else in bed with him......

He sits up for a moment, rubbing at his eyes, when he realizes... Is that... Jon?

Is that Jon in a dress?

............... nope. Way too fucking early to deal with castle shenanigans. With a groan and a quite possibly overdramatic roll of his eyes, he flops back down into bed, gripping the blanket and tugging it close.]

[feeling motion beside him, Jon unconsciously figures it's just Ghost leaving for another one of his late-night jaunts, and rolls over, throwing his arm over what's usually empty space. When it makes contact with another person, however, Jon's eyes snap open, and his hands snap under him to lift himself from bed. That's when he notices the dress, and blanches.]

Good gods! What am I wearing? Ted? Why are we in bed?

[Please give Jon a moment while his normally cool exterior completely melts away in the panic of "WHAT THE HELL?". He's up out of bed now, looking himself over, trying to figure out how to escape the frilly thing the castle's put him in.]

[pfft, dunno what all this shouting and ruckus is about--this guy is out cold, in that specific corpse-resembling way that he manages. all curled up on the bed, unconsciously snuggled up next to someone else.

I mean, I guess he's also a little more inhumanly beautiful than usual (only a little, though, because he was already at legendary status) and kind of wearing a pretty princess dress and his hair's all dark for some reason, but whatever.

[and that important thing is what finally pulls Legato out of his nice deep sleep. Waking up to the feeling of his skin crawling, a distinct sense of WRONG WRONG WRONG dragging him awake with a violent little pang. Warmth and comfort and contentment curled up on him.

He doesn't fly right into flailing wakefulness though. No, need take this one step at a time. Stay calm, open your eyes, turn slowly to see what that could possibly--]

[It's a lucky day for Zoe! Apparently Spike got incredibly drunk last night, accidentally put on women's clothing, then somehow broke in and passed out in her bed. (What other logical explanation could there be? The first part is probably right, and the rest is even plausible.)

He doesn't seem to be giving it much thought right now, because her bed is more comfortable than the couch he's usually sleeping on. It may take a few nudges to get him to stop snoring.]

[Zoe was sleeping very comfortable in bed, since she's used to sleeping with another person in bed--- but the snoring wakes her up and she'll be wtfing right about now. And nudging- hard]

[It had actually been a few months since either he or Ashura woke up in a terribly awkward situation. This new one doesn't immediately register, but as he opens his eyes and shifts it's easy to notice that's he's noticeably clothed - and not in his usual style, but in a disturbingly practical red jerkin and that might actually be a cloak that's half strangling him]

What... [He manages to sit up and of course immediately notices Ashura, and while his fiancee tends to dress rather femininely, he's never actually worn an actual dress. Not to mention the already long hair that's currently cascading all the way to the floor at the moment.]

What in all the powers? Ashura... [He shakes his lover awake]

<sub>[Ashura groaned as he was brought awake. When he and Felix had been energetic the night before, he usually slept in. Slowly he came awake, intent on seeing what he beloved wanted so horrendously early - if it was early.... and suddenly realized two things:

A. He was clothed.

B. His hair felt much heavier.

He blinked, coming awake, and sat up, hissing as his abdomen felt heavily restricted. What in that -?]</sub>

_{[He looked down at himself, staring at brocade and lace and satin and then down at the floor where his hair pooled like an upended ink bottle.]}

[When Wesley wakes up, he's confronted with a curtain of curly brown hair. He doesn't think anything of it at first, since Fred has lovely long tresses, he just shifts closer, curling around her since she likes that and is always stealing the covers from him. But then he notices that his arms are encased in green and black embroidered silk. How odd. Come to think of it, his legs seem to be tangled in far too many layers of fabric as well.

Trying not to wake Fred, he sits up, frowning slightly. That's when he realises that the cascading locks of hair are his own.]

What on earth?!

[Oh no, what has the Castle done now? He scrambles out of bed, almost tripping over the hem of his dress. He's in a dress?? Turning to look at himself in the wardrobe mirror, he is stunned and mortified to find that he's decked out in the sort of garb a medieval princess might wear. Complete with a fancy overcoat.]

[Fred mumbles something into her pillow at all the commotion, shifting slightly as she ponders waiting for it to all just go away. It has been a shift noticeable to her if nothing else, for all that it goes unspoken. But now Fred's a few blissful months into sleeping through the night.

Well, unless they weren't sleeping though the night.

It's been a long time since she let that part of herself go. Not everything is something about to go wrong. Fred mutters again as the disruption continues. More awake she presses closer to Wesley, determined to enjoy what was settling in to be a solid window of wakefulness. From the fog that sits between awake and asleep she's confused by the sheer scope of her failure at finding bare skin. Normally it's not an issue, not even with her bad habit of stealing the covers.

A hand. A chest. Even her foot catching higher on one of his legs, she's come to trust Wesley's nearness. So why was there a whole store's worth of fabric between them.

She was just opening her eyes when Wesley cursed, then tumbled from the bed. Fred openly stared]


"...you're wearing a dress."

[For just a moment, the overly-ornate bathroom in which he has awakened startles Phoenix and he has no idea where he is. But then, a vague memory flashes through his mind--being sick in here, once, maybe; he almost fainted, right?--and he knows precisely that he is in Edgeworth's bathroom.

Again.

He heaves a sigh upon realization of his predicament. Wasn't it enough that the castle threw him into Edgeworth's room without consent for three days back in February? What's the point of plunking him in Edgeworth's bathtub in the middle of a good night's (or morning's, at this point) sleep?

He's about to clamber out of the tub and have a go at sneaking out before he's caught when he realizes something... horrible. His legs aren't moving.

No--wait. They're moving, but they're not legs.

When he looks to see what's the matter, he stifles a yell. Instead of the usual pajama shorts he expects to see, he's instead met with a long, ridiculously elegant fish body. It's orange with thick black bands and electric blue dorsal fins, and it ends in a translucent orange delta tail. Otherwise, he's not wearing anything--a secondary matter to the fact that he's just woken up in someone else's bathroom as a flame angelfish merman.

He'd panic, but he's really much too shocked to bother.]

He stands in front of the mirror several feet away, back turned to the bath. It's almost fortunate that he has a towel on...

His eyes flew open in panic, jerking back in a rustle of silks and lace. Was that -? But how -? Oh good gods (or whatever was here in Paradisa) please do not say that they had... Please please. He did not want to ruin a friendship over something stupid, something that...

He suddenly realized what Albus was wearing. He was clothed. Fully. And... rather oddly. Not he was used to seeing the other in. He suddenly realized he was dressed to.... in a literal dress.

He looked down at the soft satin and lave, dark blue and silver to match him. What... had they done last night?

Slowly he reached over, shaking Albus.]</sub>

[yeah, Ino's just cuddled up with a pillow in bed, half-awake ...

... wait. that's not a pillow. that's just a giant pile of her own hair.

[Kallen, meanwhile, is covered not in blankets, but in said hair. She groggily reaches down to pull up the covers, but when she feels the hair, her eyes snap open.]

Alleyne feels a small ray of morning sun hit her bed and reflect off her face signaling wake up time. At first, she clenches her eyes shut, slowly curling into her blanket. Five more minutes. However, something ruffles under her blanket. Something big and poofy. She peeks in and sees herself wearing an extravagant green dress with gold and red trim.

Wait. She never sleeps with anything on. Did someone break in and dress her? She throws her covers off and looks down, noticing someone in next to her.

Squint.

Wait....Oh shit, it's Galadriel. She'd recognize that hair and those ears anywhere. Okay, castle, whatever this is now it isn't funny. She gently places a hand on the other elf's shoulder and speaks, sounding terribly annoyed as her other hand rubs her own face.]

Wake up. Something's amiss.

[That wakes her up almost instantly. After nearly a year here, she's become accustomed to sleeping alone.

And...this is decidedly not where she went to sleep. Or what she went to sleep in. Her nightdress seems to have been replaced by...well, there was no getting around it. It was men's wear. Very practical men's wear at that.

She blinks up at Alleyne for a moment before answering, her voice still heavy with sleep.]

The castle has seen fit to toy with us once again, it seems.

[CLU has slowly, SLOWLY been getting used to living like a User. he even started using that strange Wishing system of data manipulation to get his room to look a little more like the buildings back in the Grid. no windows, just ambient lighting and simplicity, nothing unnecessary.

... except the fact that he's woken up next to someone who wasn't there when he powered down the night before. someone who he hasn't seen with his helmet off for hundreds of cycles.

he sits up and scoots away, frowning in confusion]

Rinzler. What do you think you're doing?

[There's a very confused rumbling as Rinzler starts looking around.

And his usual attire is replaced with a dress. Pale skin, dark hair, and deep red lips.] Master?

[waking up feeling wet was not something anyone over the age of two wanted to admit to. that was the first thought that floated through Mark's head as he started to regain consciousness.

the second, oddly enough, was that he was having difficulty moving his feet. it felt like he'd gotten his legs all tangled up in the sheets -- only -- different. weirder.

naturally, that was all made perfectly clear the moment he opened his eyes. he gaped for a moment, struggling to breathe as he realized what, exactly, was going on here. reaching down, he put a hand to his waist where skin gave way to scales, just to make sure it was real and he wasn't imagining things. nope. definitely not.

okay, he was part fish. he could handle this. Ino and Sakura handled it for a week, it was no big deal, he'd just calmly, quietly inform his girlfriend like a big boy]

[Wait. He's not in the bed with her... His voice is coming from the bathroom. She scrambles out of bed, not even quite noticing that she's suddenly clothed. In fact, she's wearing a rather... regal looking outfit. Eyes wide she flies to the bathroom, feet slipping on the tile as she skids to a halt.]

What the fuck?!

[rarity will be lifting her sleeping mask in the morning to find that she's wearing something ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS. WHAT. IS THIS.

SHE HAS NO COHERENT WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS MANLY ATTIRE.

[ Aaaand Twilight is just rolling over, perhaps hogging the blankets as she does so. ]

[ Wait. That did not sound like Spike. ]

Wait, Rarity? What are you doing here? [ And now she is simply blinking blearily and wondering what is going on. ]

[Kanaya is slowly waking up from her slumber... only to realize, that hey! 1) This isn't her recuperacoon, and 2) this isn't even her room.

She's confused, of course. What the hell is going on here? She immediately sits up on the bed she's been resting on (?!) -- only to notice that she's sharing it with someone.

A very certain someone.

Her cheeks color instantly.]

[Rose is still dead asleep, despite the bright sunlight already coming through the windows. Burrowed down under the purple blankets, she starts to slowly roll over - until her knee jabs right into Kanaya, and she starts to stir just a little.]

Mmmnrphm.

[Don't worry Kanaya, those aren't broodfester tongues. Just half-asleep tongues.]

[Billy's having a great night's sleep. You know, where you sleep the whole night, everything is perfect and exceedingly comfortable, and you have one of those dreams where you can fly and just everything goes your way?

He's ruling the castle, he has everything he ever wanted, and he can't help but just... laugh as he hovers above his enemies.

Snuggling close to his pillows (and the person he doesn't know is there) his evil mirth overtakes him so much... that it makes it out into the real world, in the form of muffled, quiet, villainous sleep-chuckling.]

[Willow yawns into her pillow, still settled in a perfectly good dream that appears to have something to do with acorns. According to what she is muttering at least. She shifts again, desperately trying to cling to sleep to see how it ends.

The is until something does the loud thing in her ear.

She pushes a hand towards it, intend on turning it off. Or down. Or something]

[one day, Shizuru will be used to people -- whether she is familiar with them, or not -- appearing next to her in the morning all of a sudden. Today is not that day. Probably not tomorrow, either.

Until then, she'll...disentangle herself from the blanket and attempt to sneak out. Of her own bed. Because she refuses to rouse her bedmate who has a fascinating sleeping face]

[said bedmate is out cold, and probably looks a lot less angry and/or aloof when she's asleep.

That said, it looks like she's subconsciously stealing the rest of that blanket you're leaving behind.]

[Hinata's used to waking up early, and normally keeps to her normal training schedule even when she's not actively following it. So when she starts to wake up and notices that it's already mid-morning and not early-morning, she worries.

She opens her eyes and freezes because she's sure this isn't her bed. And while she may be good friends and living with Piper, they don't sleep together.

She scoots closer to the edge of the bed, looking between the door and Piper. Does she say something or make a run for it and pretend like this never happened... It's a harder decision than it should be.]

[ the last time piper woke up with someone in her bed like this, she'd been in her early teens. she's just as surprised as hinata when she awakens, perhaps a few minutes after, to find that she's not alone in the bed. she sits up. ]

Hinata?

[ yep, it's definitely her friend on the edge of the bed. either this is a loss, another world change, or something much, much worse. piper surveys her room quickly to find that it is, in fact, not her bed. ]

You mind telling me what's going on?

[ Lana's going to be waking up as early as ever, just after dawn, only to realize her outfit is not the comfortable silk pajamas she took to bed. Instead it's an outfit much like this, only with more greens than reds.

But she barely even gets the chance to look at her outfit, when she notices someone is next to her. Off the bat, she's already assuming castle hijinks, so Lana tries to remain calm as she leans over to touch the man's shoulder. His clothes look no less ridiculous than hers.

It's hard to see his face at this angle, but the dark hair could belong to...anyone. ]

[Six woke up quickly, realizing something was off. Very off. This isn't where she went to sleep. Not her bed. And she's damn sure her clothing was different. Not quite so... Fancy. She doesn't even notice the convenient body of water next to her yet.] What now?
