#007 The Roaring Twenties

[It's that time of the month again! The Host Club is once more opening its doors for business, this time with a couple of new additions and a couple of losses... The ballroom has been completely transformed into a 1920s style speakeasy.
A few hosts are serving behind the bar, namely Allen, Maladict and Cole, all of them dressed in this bartender outfit. The rest of the hosts are dotted around the room dressed in this attractive outfit, complete with the hat. There are two notable exceptions to this - one of which is Haruhi, who is dressed in a flapper dress, and Tamaki who is dressed in a white suit.
There are tables for playing poker, chips provided, as well as three American Pool tables to have a go on. By the door, there are racks of dresses and suits in 1920s style, in case any of the guests wish to take part in the theme themselves - manning the racks is Delta, instructed to persuade the guests to take part and compliment them on their new look.
Come on and all and enjoy the club!]

Each player is dealt five cards, an ante is put into the pot in order to join the game. After looking at their hand and determining how good it is, the players then have a round of betting - if they all 'check', that means no bet is placed. If the first person places a bet (for example, one chip), all the other players must bet one chip to remain in the game. If they don't bet, they must 'fold', which means to be out of that hand of the game. If a player is confidant in their hand, they may raise the bet (for example, player one has bet one chip, player two may bet two chips). This then means everyone must bet two chips to stay in, and the original better must add an extra chip to make up the difference.
When that round of betting is complete, the players may then discard between 1-4 cards of their hand, and request the same amount from the dealer. Another round of betting then happens, and a final exchange of cards. After the final round of betting, players show their hands and the player with the highest hand wins.

How does one win a hand?

The best is the Royal Flush: a 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace all of the same suit. The rest of the order goes like this:
-- Four of a Kind (all four aces, all four 10s, and so on)
-- Straight Flush (this is a run of five of the same suit. Like 3,4,5,6,7 of Diamonds)
-- Full house (this is three of one card and two of another)
-- Straight (a run of five of the A MIX OF SUITS . Example: 3,4 of Diamond, 5 of Spades and 6,7 of Hearts)
-- Flush (this is five of the same suit but not necessarily in order, so like 3,6,7,Jack and King of Hearts).
-- Two Pair (example 2 Jacks and 2 sixes and one spare card)
-- Pair (example 2 tens)
If nobody wins, the highest card wins from Ace downwards.

[She tries to tack on his name at the end of the question for emphasis, but quickly realizes that she doesn't know it yet.]
Sorry, what are you called?

Um... your "descendant" and I get along. [he's not sure how else to phrase that]

[Of course she's leaving out the fact that her vision eight-fold can probably be used to peek at his hand, but you know. Insignificant details.]
