#007 The Roaring Twenties

[It's that time of the month again! The Host Club is once more opening its doors for business, this time with a couple of new additions and a couple of losses... The ballroom has been completely transformed into a 1920s style speakeasy.
A few hosts are serving behind the bar, namely Allen, Maladict and Cole, all of them dressed in this bartender outfit. The rest of the hosts are dotted around the room dressed in this attractive outfit, complete with the hat. There are two notable exceptions to this - one of which is Haruhi, who is dressed in a flapper dress, and Tamaki who is dressed in a white suit.
There are tables for playing poker, chips provided, as well as three American Pool tables to have a go on. By the door, there are racks of dresses and suits in 1920s style, in case any of the guests wish to take part in the theme themselves - manning the racks is Delta, instructed to persuade the guests to take part and compliment them on their new look.
Come on and all and enjoy the club!]

Of course. This castle's not gunna stop me from what I'm supposed to do.

That is the reply of a true host, one who's heart will not be battered from its noble quest~!

If anything, I was worried you wouldn't be up for it. It's... good to see you happy again.

His head bent forwards, curtain of golden hair (that somehow managed to catch the light to shine in the way usually only TV commercials achieved) obscuring his face.]

How could I be sad with my family right beside me?
[His little dysfunctional family, the one he had carefully crafted himself from his friends and turned into the Host Club.]
no subject
Wait. Um. Oh. Okay. Phew. He exhales deeply...]
R-Right! And.. we'll work hard to keep it that way!

[See this? It's a steady flush rising in his cheeks until he's the colour of a pillar box, leaning in to whisper this amazing secret quietly.]
Daddy and Haruhi are dating~

[Waits for him to say anything else.]
...
[... Oh. Was that it?]
... Uh, yeah. I know. She told me. By the way, I really don't think you should use the word 'daddy' when talking about your girlfriend.
[creeper.]

...]
G-G-G-G-G-G-GIRLFRIEND?!
no subject
[Wow. Face-towel-palm. Is this actually something that needs to be explained?]
... Tamaki. You just said you were dating her. And when you date a girl, she is your girlfriend. And you are her boyfriend. Not her daddy.

Tamaki's mind was a convoluted place, full of half acceptances of his feelings and half clinging to the family unit he had made for himself at Ouran.]
But... Daddy loves his daughter.
[Don't make him have to be mature about this, his heart can't handle it.]
no subject
Relax, will you? You two being girlfriend and boyfriend doesn't change the club. We're all one big happy family. You two just have different titles now. Less creepy ones.
no subject
CREEPY?!
no subject
[okay, this isn't going to go anywhere positive unless he takes the blame.]
... But then what do I know. I've never had a girlfriend, nor a daughter. I have no idea what I'm talking about.
[said completely monotone.]

That is why I am here, Bossonova, to share my pearls of wisdom with the less fortunate and needy, like yourself.
no subject
.. thanks for trying, Ritsu. I just don't think we're quite there yet.
[Regarding the whole 'Daddy' thing. Her expression and tone are deadpan and - yep. Completely ignoring the fact that Tamaki is even there.]
no subject
I'll just keep my thoughts to myself... or try to.
no subject
Obviously Haruhi has come to save Daddy~!]

I've heard girls are supposed to date guys that remind them of their fathers, but I think this is a little much.
