#007 The Roaring Twenties

[It's that time of the month again! The Host Club is once more opening its doors for business, this time with a couple of new additions and a couple of losses... The ballroom has been completely transformed into a 1920s style speakeasy.

A few hosts are serving behind the bar, namely Allen, Maladict and Cole, all of them dressed in this bartender outfit. The rest of the hosts are dotted around the room dressed in this attractive outfit, complete with the hat. There are two notable exceptions to this - one of which is Haruhi, who is dressed in a flapper dress, and Tamaki who is dressed in a white suit.

There are tables for playing poker, chips provided, as well as three American Pool tables to have a go on. By the door, there are racks of dresses and suits in 1920s style, in case any of the guests wish to take part in the theme themselves - manning the racks is Delta, instructed to persuade the guests to take part and compliment them on their new look.

Come on and all and enjoy the club!]

[ooc: Please wait for the sections THE SECTIONS ARE UP - one for host club members to mingle and discuss the theme, and one for guests. Feel free to threadjack around in both sections, talk to your fellow hosts, your fellow guests, and everyone in beteween!]

These are not for playing, I'm afraid. [She pockets the dice again.] They are suited for battle, not for games.

Battle? ... Seriously? .... How's that work? [he is ... definitely curious. this sounds like it has the potential for Extreme Awesomeness]

I roll the octet, and based on the numbers that surface, a different power is activated. Some yield better results than others; sometimes it is even known to backfire. Wielding these dice as a weapon is dangerous for both parties involved.

But much as with simpler games of chance, I never lose.

Holy crap, that sounds awesome ... if not vaguely dorky in theory. Have you used em on anything here?

I've hardly had the need. The results can be somewhat... drastic on particular rolls, and I've encountered nothing quite worth the risk.
bro_codebreaker: (believe me when I say...)

Hey. This place got torn down once. I think it can handle drastic. ... You hear about that, yet?

[personal profile] scourgeof8seas 2012-02-05 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I have not. I've heard very little about the past of this castle, in fact, though it sounds to be a fascinating tale. Would you care to share it?

I didn't actually do much knocking down.... but this one girl shot a cannon hole in the wall and everyone else went ballistic like parents at a Toys R Us on Black Friday and tore it apart in a night.

Really? Quite a shame I missed it, then.

Though since the castle still appears to be standing I must ask: how long did it take to rebuild?
bro_codebreaker: (though his mind is not for rent)

I think it was only down for like, a day. And then ... time rewound or something, because the room I'd made was ... unmade again and I had to rebuild everything.

I can't quite remember, because it was New Year's Eve and there was a lot of scotch involved.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. This castle does not seem to be the kind of thing that could be destroyed so easily.

And I take it scotch is another type of human alcohol?
