#007 The Roaring Twenties

[It's that time of the month again! The Host Club is once more opening its doors for business, this time with a couple of new additions and a couple of losses... The ballroom has been completely transformed into a 1920s style speakeasy.

A few hosts are serving behind the bar, namely Allen, Maladict and Cole, all of them dressed in this bartender outfit. The rest of the hosts are dotted around the room dressed in this attractive outfit, complete with the hat. There are two notable exceptions to this - one of which is Haruhi, who is dressed in a flapper dress, and Tamaki who is dressed in a white suit.

There are tables for playing poker, chips provided, as well as three American Pool tables to have a go on. By the door, there are racks of dresses and suits in 1920s style, in case any of the guests wish to take part in the theme themselves - manning the racks is Delta, instructed to persuade the guests to take part and compliment them on their new look.

It is? Are there trials, for becoming a host, or something? But yes, I'm having fun.

[Haruhi taps her chin.]

No, no, I don't think so. Are you interested in becoming one?

I'm, not really sure? I still don't know, what being a host is about, actually.

[hostess]

Mostly just company and conversation, I think. [Haruhi smiles gently at him.] Are you thirsty? We can talk over tea, if you'd like.

I don't think I'd, be a good host. Because, um, I'm not that good at, conversation.

But, yes, tea would be a thing that's good. So I'd like some.

[hostess]

Come on, then. I'll make you something to drink.

[Haruhi nods at table and chairs placed out, moving one of the chairs in question so that Tavros can actually get to the tabletop.]

Thank you, very much. For the drink, and also, moving the chair.

[He rolls himself up to the table, smiling like this is the best thing ever to happen to him.]

[You odd little horned guy! But Haruhi smiles at his thanks as she settles across from him.]

Of course. I'm not sure we've met -- would you tell me a little about yourself?

Um, okay. I can do that. My name is, Tavros Nitram, and, um, I'm six. And I like, all kinds of games, but especially, role playing and Fiduspawn.

[hostess]

[---hold up a second.]

You're -- six?

Mm, yes, I am. My wriggling day, wasn't too many perigees ago, so I'm six sweeps old now.

[hostess]

Perigrees.. are those the same as years?

[totesadorkabull]

Oh, no, that's not right. Perigees have to do with, the cycles of the moons. Umm, I think you humans, call them months?

[hostess]

-- oh. So sweeps aren't directly equivalent to years.

[totesadorkabull]

Yes, that's a thing that's true. Sweeps are longer than years, but I'm not sure, exactly how long. I didn't really pay attention, to the numbers.

[hostess]

Well, regardless.. I'll keep it in mind. Is there a certain way you like your tea?

[totesadorkabull]

Um, no, I don't think so? I haven't had tea, very often.

[hostess]

Do you like sweet drinks?

[totesadorkabull]

Yes, I do like sweet drinks. I like a lot of sweet things, actually.

[hostess]

We'll make your tea very sweet, then. I don't eat a lot of sugar, but Hunny-senpai is really fond of it.

I think I'll like that, very much. Thank you.
