There's hope, but it's thin at best. Months ago, I got knocked out while training by myself, was out for a week, and remembered my family relation, though I still couldn't remember my schoolmates.

I wouldn't count on it, as I don't think it's something that can be done intentionally.

So.. the only cure is blunt force trauma to the head. And it's still not guaranteed.
