[Robb has been asleep for the better part of seven days. He'd been stitched up and left to rest, with Grey Wind ever faithfully guarding his bed while he slept. In between bouts of wakefulness, Carson would try to explain this place to him. They were in a castle that's like no other castle he's ever heard of, and it grants wishes only to take other things away. It very possibly brought him back from the dead.

Upon waking up this morning, he realized he was no longer so drowsy, and he was more alert than he'd been since he'd arrived. Finally, it was time to get answers to the questions he needed and dreaded. He wasn't yet strong enough to write for any length of time, but Carson had mentioned he could talk to the journal and it would find its way to people's ears. So he did.]

I was told this castle brings into it people of many worlds. If we are, in fact, so many then there's a possibility that there's other people from my world as well. I come from the Seven Kingdoms of Westoros; if it is familiar to you then please respond. I have...questions of great importance to ask.

More crazy than coming back from the dead? Not particularly.

[He hadn't really meant to say it. But it was too late now.]

I was betrayed.

I've been there. Not dead, well... coma, but pretty damn near close. [plus, there was the whole just wanting to be dead.]

Betrayed though -- I've been there a few times.

[young_wolf]

Have you? My betrayal cost many good, honest men their lives. Death on the battlefield is honorable; being taken with surprised while unarmed by a pack of cowards...there is little I can do to repay them. Except die along with them.

[Pause.]

Excuse me, my Lady. I did not mean to disturb you with such dark thoughts.

It's alright. My life isn't exactly rays of sunshine all around.

[Also, the Lady stuff has got to stop.] You can call me Faith -- the whole... Lady thing - doesn't work for me.

[young_wolf]

Faith? That is an unusual name. What faith is it that you follow? Or maybe you're your own.

[He can't help but tease her. Her name makes it too easy.]

Yeah... 'cuz I haven't heard that before. It's just a name. [Better than BUFFY.]

Funny how quick you've gone from calling me your Lady to trying to make fun of my name.

Pardon me, my L-Faith. It wasn't my intent to insult. It's a lovely name.

So, all the battles, and the seven kingdoms, and that... are you a knight?

[He chuckles.]

No. I'm a King. Or...I was.

[msattentionspan]

No shit? [She eyes the page.]

Are you fuckin' with me? I mean, that's a big deal.

[young_wolf]

No...I'm not. It's the truth. But I can't be both dead and a king. Even if I was, my title would hold no meaning here.

[Though he'd never admit it, he's kind of relieved about that.]

Hey, there's a lot of people here who are dead and still what they were back home. Not that anyone here would be excited to have a king around.

So the seven kingdoms, all of them under one king, and that was you? [Holy shit, Faith is paying attention.]

No, gods no. The entire kingdom is at war. It began with three other kings, myself included, trying to overthrow Joffrey.

He...killed my father and I swore revenge. And my men decided that they didn't want to serve any other king. So they named me King of the North.

[msattentionspan]

[She tries to follow along, and most of it she gets, but she doesn't know who Joffrey is and she knows how well revenge works out.]

Did it make things easier or harder for you? 'Mean if you want revenge, you can't really lead people - right? Conflict of interest or something.

[young_wolf]

My father was my men's liege lord. They had the utmost respect for him. We all fought to avenge him. But that wasn't the only reason.

You see, Joffrey and his mother had my sisters held captive.

[msattentionspan]

Damn, someone ought'a get the movie rights to your life. [GO ON.]

[young_wolf]

I...pardon? I'm afraid I do not understand.

[msattentionspan]

I'll explain it later. [She's trying not to laugh.] What'd he do with your sisters? [Also. Robb. Maybe now would be good to filter this... since both sisters are... in the castle.]

He was engaged to one, Sansa. But when he got a better offer he married her to his uncle The Imp. And Arya...we never got word of her.
