[Maybe someday Phoenix will be used to living life as a non-human; the way things have been going lately, it seems that's the direction the castle is pushing him in. After all, it's going on a week since he woke up and found himself turned into a bird.

Well, not just a bird--a large, deep blue phoenix, because the castle has a very stupid sense of humor which he does not appreciate at all.

He's fully aware that he's stuck in this ridiculous form, but since he can't talk or communicate with anyone and he really doesn't want anyone to find out about this nonsense, he's been keeping to himself as much as possible. Unfortunately this means he's now officially run out of the junk food he's been eating in his room, and the castle--of course--isn't granting his wishes for more.

With no other solution presenting itself, he's forced to soar through the halls of the castle--and that's just what he's doing this evening... flying and searching and hoping to find food somewhere.]


((Phoenix is on a phoenix loss. Feel free to bother the huge fiery blue bird. ;D))

[Were he a more sarcastic man, the phoenix would receive a slow clap. Being a stoic instead though, he simply walks over and gently scoops up the bird, carefully checking it over for injuries.]

Are you alright?

[He's fine, but he's not okay with being held, so he immediately starts flailing to be let down. How awkward...]

[Dhaos gently sets Phoenix down.]

My apologies. ...If you don't mind me asking, is this your natural form, or is this an effect of the castle?

[takethat]

[Since it's the second choice, he flaps his wings twice. What? Communication happens how it happens when you're a phoenix.]

Ah. That explains why you're inside.

[He smiles a bit.]

My name is Dhaos. I don't suppose you could lead me to the kitchen? The castle took my sense of direction from me I'm afraid, so it makes finding anything on my own quite a task.

[takethat]

[Well, Dhaos is in luck, since the kitchen is exactly where Phoenix would love to be right now. He nods and spreads his wings, putting forth a great deal of effort to get back into the air and flying in the right direction toward the kitchen.

He'd look over his shoulder to see if Dhaos is following him, but he's too afraid of crashing into a wall or out a window if he tries something that complicated.]

[Just as well, because seeing that the man following him has opted to float a bit above the floor instead of walking probably would be distracting enough to cause a crash.

It is not terribly long before they reach the kitchen.]

Would you like me to make something for you?

[He sure would, and he bobs his head up and down to agree with that. He doesn't even know what birds eat, other than worms, and he's not planning on trying that anytime soon.]

[Twenty minutes later, Dhaos has managed to put together two BLTs, because honestly, he doesn't know what phoenixes eat either. He puts one down in front of Phoenix and begins munching on his own, occasionally pausing to sip some tea.]

[Phoenix tilts his head and regards the BLT in silence for a few beats before trying to remove the bacon as nonchalantly as possible. Of course this makes for a huge mess, but he continues at it anyway.]
