[Maybe someday Phoenix will be used to living life as a non-human; the way things have been going lately, it seems that's the direction the castle is pushing him in. After all, it's going on a week since he woke up and found himself turned into a bird.

Well, not just a bird--a large, deep blue phoenix, because the castle has a very stupid sense of humor which he does not appreciate at all.

He's fully aware that he's stuck in this ridiculous form, but since he can't talk or communicate with anyone and he really doesn't want anyone to find out about this nonsense, he's been keeping to himself as much as possible. Unfortunately this means he's now officially run out of the junk food he's been eating in his room, and the castle--of course--isn't granting his wishes for more.

With no other solution presenting itself, he's forced to soar through the halls of the castle--and that's just what he's doing this evening... flying and searching and hoping to find food somewhere.]


((Phoenix is on a phoenix loss. Feel free to bother the huge fiery blue bird. ;D))

[Clint is wandering the halls, trying to get a sense of where the hell he is...

When the big blue phoenix comes flapping towards him. And he just stands, stock still, staring.]

Well, this is new.

[Oh, there's someone in the hall in front of him? Phoenix tries to just sort of gracefully soar over the man's head, but he's still not quite got the hang of flapping about like this, and instead clips the wall with a wing and tumbles into a heap on the floor.

He's not hurt, other than his dignity--maybe the man didn't notice. Somehow.]

[Unfortunately, he did, and he's already walking over to the bird to make sure it's alright.

The man kinda has an affinity for birds, after all.]

[(Oh geez, just get up, Phoenix, and fly away and act like this was all completely normal...)

He makes a valiant effort, but being a bird is impossible for someone so used to a human body, and instead he's hopping about aimlessly in an attempt to get airborne again.]

[The Pegasus Pony happens to spot him as she walks around, and she is both dazzled and confused.]

A... a blue phoenix...?

[He flies over her head in an attempt to remain as unnoticed as possible yeah right but stops to rest not too much further down the hall. Flying takes a lot of energy he's not used to exerting--at least not in this way.]

[Sorry, you're not getting away that easily. She slowly approaches him, fascinated by his color.]

Wow... so beautiful...

[Dhaos is also wandering the halls, because well, he does that a lot now that he has no sense of direction. And then suddenly blue phoenix. He doesn't bat an eye. No stranger than running across a dragon trapped in a doorway after all.]

[Too bad that blue phoenix is really bad at turning corners in this ungainly form he's stuck in. He's distracted when he notices someone walking along the same hall he's flying down, and in that moment of distraction he smacks into a wall.

Smooth.]

[Were he a more sarcastic man, the phoenix would receive a slow clap. Being a stoic instead though, he simply walks over and gently scoops up the bird, carefully checking it over for injuries.]

Are you alright?

[Shiki's just walking through the hallway when she runs into Phoenix the phoenix! She sees him, and gasps - she's never seen a real phoenix (lower case p) before - and every so often, she thinks, the castle can give them something really amazing.]

Wow... you're beautiful.

[He's startled by the sound of a voice he recognizes, and lands a short distance away from her, tilting his head to one side.

(She has no idea it's me, does she?)]

[She approaches him slowly, hands out. She wants to pet him, but also has no idea that it's not just a person on a loss, but a person she knows, so she's going to be super cautious for now.]

I've never seen such a blue bird before! I mean, I've heard of bluebirds at home, but you're a whole other kind of blue, and it's so pretty! I wonder what kind of bird you are...

[shrugs_a_lot]

[Somehow Cloud thought he was done at finding weird stuff while roaming the castle's halls... And the castle had to prove him wrong again as there is a phoenix flying down the corridor.

But where there were phoenixes there were feathers, or something like that, and he could use some extra free Phoenix Downs... Fortunately, he had just turned around the corner when the phoenix had passed by, it probably hadn't seen him yet, and it better stay that way.

Cloud starts following it as stealthy as he can.]

[Since he's terrible at being anything but a human, Phoenix has no idea he's being tailed. He's just sailing along, completely oblivious, until he stops to rest a moment with a less-than-graceful plunk into the floor.]

[shrugs_a_lot]

[Ahaha, this was gonna be so easy~ When the pretty phoenix lands Cloud sprints after it and tosses himself at it in an attempt to catch it!]

[well, here's a blue pony trotting past with a nice salad and a small pile of cookies floating in the air behind her.]

[And both the salad and the cookies look delicious to the half-starved bird--so without a second thought, he divebombs the salad plate.]

[the sudden rush of air grabs her attention! She whirls about and. Is that a bird heading towards her??

And she slams down a blue force field bubble around her and her food. Try it, featherbrain.]

What is the meaning of this?

[So, here's Mr. Prosecutor sitting at a cafe nearing the lobby, having a cup of tea with a pumpernickel sandwich cut into neat triangles, and a couple of scones. The bird catches his attention immediately. He looks up, eyes trailing the flying Phoenix.]

[The lawyer-bird doesn't notice Edgeworth, but he does catch the scent of food from the cafe, and makes his way over, flying in a horribly ungraceful way.]

[Blinks. Except with clothes on.]

Vanyel has managed to get himself turned into a bird too, but he is a peacock - in which the Castle's sense of humor is yet again shown, since Vanyel's petname is 'peacock'. That he is a white peacock is all the more terrible, a play, he suspects, on his relationship with Yfandes.

He has not enjoyed it all. Hardly anyone can understand him, even if he has mindspeech and it has made communication so difficult, not to mention food getting. So when he sees a blue phoenix flying about, he is somewhat taken by surprise, letting out a bird-like squawk which, in the mutual language of birds becomes - ]</sub>

[Phoenix is completely taken aback by this and screeches back in reply before landing a safe distance from the peacock.]

Holy crap! Another bird! I can understand you?!
