Chapter Ten- Suddenly a Baby

[Geoff turns over in his bed, cuddling against the person next to him. …The person next to him?! His eyes snap open to find his arm draped around Bucky.

Oh. This wasn’t so bad. But how did they end up like this?

That question is immediately replaced with another burning question as soon as Chaucer hears a shrill cry. He nudges Bucky.]

Bucky. Bucky, wake up. When were you going to tell me you had a child?

[ooc: Yep. Open over the journals.]

Although... do you have a child? Perhaps they could play together.

As of this morning, I have two. Twins!

[He's... much happier about that than he should be.]

[That's so cute, Phoenix. He chuckles.]

Who's the lucky partner?

[takethat]

[And he stifles a small "ugh." Less happy about his "partner"...]

Larry... Larry Butz.

[thetrudger]

[Chaucer lets out a laugh.]

Butz?!

...Oh wait, I remember him! So, Mrs. Butz, how are Butz, JRs?

They're... they're good... they're really cute anyway. But it'd be better if they weren't also Larry's.

[No, he's really not even going to address being labeled as the lady in his "partnership." Bigger fish to fry and all that.]

[thetrudger]

[He's just being a dick because it was implied he was the mother earlier. Sorry, Phoenix :(]

Well, I should like to see them some time. And you must see Rosalie.

[takethat]

Rosalie! What a pretty name! Is she a pretty baby?

[Phoenix is being such a woman right now. It's all good.]

[thetrudger]

The prettiest. And what of your children? Boys, girls, names?

[takethat]

They're both girls, too.


...their names are Olive and Sage. Larry... named them after pizza...

[thetrudger]

He... named them after pizza.

[He lets out a chuckle.]

Nevertheless, they are pretty names.

[takethat]

I don't know why I had to get trapped with Larry on this, though.

[After all, the castle's been sticking him with Edgeworth for everything else.]

And you're with... someone named Bucky? I don't think I've ever met him.

[thetrudger]

Is there someone else you would have preferred?

Ah... yes. Yes, Bucky Barnes. You should meet him.

[Except maybe not because he could potentially tell him embarrassing stories.]

[takethat]

I can name a few I would've preferred, yes.

I'd like to meet Bucky--I'm always for getting to know new people, especially if they come recommended by a friend.

[Also he's fishing for more of that information he wants while trying not to come off as a 'nosy bastard.']

[thetrudger]

Such as?

[There's a pause.]

Or maybe you just want to meet him to figure out what's going on with me.

[takethat]

Am I that transparent?

[He laughs, and ignores the other question, just in case he is.]

Here's my deal. You answer my question, and I will let you in on what's going on with me.

...I will have to seriously consider whether or not that deal is worth it.

Sounds worth it to me.

[takethat]

You are? ...really, like, this isn't a loss or something?

[Forgive him, Geoff, he's just so incredibly surprised.]

[He's a bit embarrassed, but he laughs.]

Very surprised. But... but congrats! Good on you for finding someone to be with in this place.

[thetrudger]

Thank you. We've only had one date... and a baby... But he's special.

[Clearing throat now go away awkward emotions.]
