[He laughs a little sadly.]

"I was uh... wondering if you could help me with something else."

"Mate I have a problem... well, it's more than just a problem actually..."

"Alright. About that date! Hey, you know mate... I can bring her to your apartment too... How- how does that sound?"

[goodness. a gesture like that makes him very happy. the smirk that seems to be his default expression gets even wider and he leans forward with interest.]

And I suppose our hosts here went and put you in this body, right? [since he looks very fleshy and human to Zelman.] That's unfortunate.

[He clicks his tongue as if he needed a moment more to think about it.]

"That's right. This body. The emotions, it's all really an inconvenience to me. I've been surrounded by humans too."

[He knows he told you this but...]

"I'm doing whatever I can to not be one of them."

[he puts a hand over his chest, tapping the heart that might as well be a lump of rock for all its use to him.]

I'd like to assume you've heard of vampires before.

[He tapped his chin thoughtfully.]

"Well, Uh... yeahyeahyeah, actually, huh... I have... but only in books. They're a part of a fantastic array of fictions. Mythical lore is always a good read I suppose."

[he laughs a little at that, this light, melodious sound.]

[Give Wheatley a moment to just stare at him. He takes off his glasses and squints a little.]

"Hehehe... uh. What? Are you telling me..."

[Another moment. He raises his eyebrow.]

"You're... a vampire?"

[upon which he grins, mostly because that way he can show off the fact that he has some pretty pointy incisors there.]

Which is no harder to believe than an AI in a human body, given the nature of this place.

[He raised his eyebrows higher.]

[He put his glasses back on.]

"Do...do, waitwaitwait, you go around hunting in the castle, then? Turning humans into... well, you know better than I do."

No, no. [he waves his hand a little.] There's a great deal of effort that goes into siring someone, and for good reason. I can't just go around letting anyone become an apex predator.

[wheatdos]

"Siring... Apex?"

[Oh no, you've lost him! He's trying to nod in understanding, but Wheatley is giving the most confused look, so it doesn't help.]
