Twenty-Fourth Negotiations; Dictated

I have to say, I for one am glad that another year has gone by and once again the Castle didn't try to burden me with a child. I'd say it was trying to respect my choices, but considering this is the Castle we're talking about, that's a laughable assumption at best.

I wonder though, how many of were spared the burdens of parenthood this time around? I'm just a little curious, is all.

I suppose I should be grateful I didn't have to be turned into a cat this year to get out of it, if nothing else.

I was given no children, though my eldest brother was.

You have family here then? I imagine it must be somewhat jarring, being a made an aunt in such an unconventional manner.

I'd imagine so. Things here are almost always an adjustment for people.

My world is much different. Power is the main objective, and killing those who stand in your way. It's still a game here, just a different type.

Most of life is a game, but few are smart enough to realize that.

It is blatantly obvious back home when all are vying for the crown. If you take those principles and put them up against people, you can see resemblances. Everyone wants something.

Some are just more obvious about what they want than others.

But everyone wants something. It depends on what they are willing to do to achieve it.

Those who are really determined will stop at very little to achieve their goals.

My father has managed it. And in my world, men do not jump classes.

In most worlds, that can be a hard task to achieve.

He has taught me everything I know.

Your father sounds like a wise man.

The wisest I know.

Then you were lucky to have him.

Not everyone can say that of their father.

I have been lucky in that regard.

So it would seem.

I have heard that most do not have their family here. [While Baelish wasn't here, she had her siblings. And mother.]

It does seem to be rather uncommon.
