Question!


Would anybody out there be interested in a sort of "artist's circle?" Or, is there anything like that going on in the castle already that I just don't know about? I've been painting more, lately since there aren't exactly a ton of murders happening all over the place here and I was thinking all the artists of the castle--regardless of skill level--should get together and be artsy sometimes.

Any thoughts?

That's a neat idea! I know a bunch of artists here. [Which is weird after living in District 12 so long. He doesn't expect people to know how. Painting was kind of a frivolous thing when it was difficult to get enough to eat.]

Yeah? You think? I really don't know how many artsy people we have here, but I've met a handful. Are you into art?

Yeah! Painting's one of my favorite things to do!

Oh! Sorry! I'm Peeta. Peeta Mellark.

I paint! I don't pretend to be any good at it, but I was an art major back in school, before I switched over to law.

[gevurah]

What made you change majors?

[takethat]

Well... I met this woman who defended me in court, and she reminded me of my childhood inspiration to be a lawyer. So I followed my dream, after that.

Will it be reserved for painters?

Well, I was thinking any kind of art would be welcome.

I shall attend as an admirer then.

That would be great. Just no heckling about anybody's art!

Hm.. I don't think I'm very artsy, but I think it might be fun to just go watch! It's a good idea!

You could always give painting a try, too, if you wanted!

Hmm.. I guess I've never really tried! Is it difficult?

[takethat]

I guess it's kind of hard to learn new techniques and all that, but painting can be really soothing if you aren't too worried about how it looks. I like to just relax and paint and see what comes out!
