So. When people die here, they come back? I mean, like: One day, bam; DEAD. And then suddenly, they're back? Like nothing ever happened? Am I getting this information right? And everyone here is okay with this? No one finds it...really, really creepy?

How about odd? Does anyone at least find it odd? I can't be alone here. That's pretty high on the 'unusual things that happens here' list.

[Of course, he'd probably show a little more tact if he knew his closest friend's fiancé was one of the dead people. But he doesn't, and that's a pretty big 'probably' anyway]

Unless that sort of thing is just...normal where you guys come from. Then I could get why you're desensitised to it. Or it could be back to that collective insanity theory of mine.

Wow, that's a lot of rambling. Way to go, me. Orrrr I could just remove my foot from my mouth right about now and we can go back to our lives. Sounds good? Goood. Let's do that.

I knew hope, once. It cost everyone everything. I'm not planning on doing it again. Hope is something that fuels the bad guys as well as the good ones.

Guess I have some ageing to do then. [Sadly even in fifty years time, this will still be the case]

Everyone I wanted to atone for has gone. I'm alone.

Are you, truly? Do you believe you are the only soul who has ever wronged another or made a serious mistake?

No, I'm sure there are plenty of other people who've made a mistake. But I'm the only one where I live who made the huge mistake I did.

It is not my place to say what judgment you are due, but at the very least, you deserve a chance.

There are many things you can do with your time. Alone or not, you carry a burden on your shoulders. Will you let it weigh you down into nothingness, or will you change it all? You can dedicate the rest of your life to making sure a mistake like yours never happens again-- or you can contribute nothing. You may not find forgiveness, but you may find a purpose.

It is your choice.

No one can repeat the mistake I've made. I didn't leave anything for them to repeat the mistake with. I'd be defending an empty...nothing. There's no purpose there for me. [Not until Ted comes along, anyway]

You can put something there in its place. Perhaps you may even nurture something new. Life is very tenacious in the wake of destruction.

It is something to think about, but I will ramble on no longer.
