[Waking up in the clinic was not what Violet was expecting. She was stranded on an island with her siblings and now she was here? Holding her head, she was suddenly gaining some of her memories back. It took a her a few minutes to regain enough to pick up her her journal.]

I'm back. I don't know how long I've been out, but I went back home for a few weeks. [Which just brings up a lot of emotions that she's not ready to bring up right now.]

In the clinic for now.

How long were you home?

Not really sure. The few weeks we were on the boat, and the few weeks we were on the island. So maybe two-three months?

Your siblings okay?

Sort of. We found this community of people on the island, but Olaf's found a way to unleash a contagion, and I think he's going to.

[waterproofed]

[Percy learned already that some mortals are just as horrible as monsters, if not more so. But this Olaf guy really pushes it]

I'm sure everything will work out.

Look, something good will happen to you and your family. If anybody deserves a happy ending, it's you guys!

There is no ending, Percy. There is no ride into the sunset and then the credits roll. Life goes on and there will always be obstacles.

Happy moment, then. Whatever. The point is, you're awesome and you shouldn't have to go through all that stuff.

But I have. And it's only made me stronger, Percy. It's hard and I would never have had it be this way, but what else am I supposed to do?

I donno. [he hopes she gets into Elysium for this. Seriously]

Demigods go through a lot of bad stuff, but that's their life. It just... makes me mad when mortals go through bad stuff, too.

In my world there are no demigods or gods. It's just life. They tell stories of heroes to make things better, and they do -- to think that there is magic out there, that there is some hope, that it gets better. But that's life. And my life is hard. I know that.

It's just being alone here again. That I don't know if I can bare.

But you're not alone. I know friends aren't a substitute for family, but you have them. A lot of them, I bet.

They're not here. And I've been here for-- wait, I've been here over a year now.

That is a long time...

No. It's not that. I'm just... adjusting to everything again.

It feels different this time. It was like an escape here. But now I need to get back.

I know. And I wouldn't even know it. I didn't even remember you. It seems wrong. Especially since you've meant so much to me.

Hey, it's okay, I didn't remember you when I took my trip back home. And we know each other now, right?

I guess that's the only thing that matters. There's nothing I can do while I'm here.

There ya go! And hey, once you're feeling better I'm going to get you outside for some fresh air.
