[soccerwhisperer]

[as you flip through, there's suddenly a messy stroke of really wet ink on the page of the journal, then the sound of someone picking it up and shaking it a little, making the ink run]

...Whoops. Maybe I shouldn't practice on the desk.

[and then he stupidly rubs it in hopes of getting it to dry faster, smearing ink all over the place]

Yeah! So if we find some cellar doors, that's probably where we'll want to go.

Al--alright! Let's find that cellar door!

Let's just hope there's a dragon down there, huh?

( she gives a laugh, heading along with him. )

[after a while with no cellar door in sight...]

The castle is a lot bigger than I thought it'd be.

[bornofwisdom]

Man, I guess it is, sheesh.

[soccerwhisperer]

But it's a good thing, right? That means if there is a dragon, it has more space to live.

[bornofwisdom]

That's true. A dragon would have more than enough room in the cellar of a castle.

[soccerwhisperer]

Oh, we better let it out before it gets too big to fit through the door!

[bornofwisdom]

I don't know, you think it would be a good idea to let a dragon loose?

[soccerwhisperer]

Well if we become it's friends, it won't be an evil dragon! It's like... adopting a stray dog.

[bornofwisdom]

( she gives a laugh )

Well sure, who wouldn't want to be the proud parents of a dragon, I suppose.

[soccerwhisperer]

You said he'd be like a dog, not a kid...

[bornofwisdom]

You're kind of like a parent to a dog, too. You have to feed him, bathe him, teach him...

[soccerwhisperer]

But you don't send a dog to school!

[bornofwisdom]

( she laughs )

That's not completely true, you can send dogs to training facilities. So it's like school!

[soccerwhisperer]

What do they learn? Can dogs even learn math?

[bornofwisdom]

( more laughing )

No, silly. They learn obedience.

[soccerwhisperer]

Can't you just teach them that yourself?

[bornofwisdom]

Some people have a hard time teaching their pets manners and such, so they need the help of pet-schools.

[soccerwhisperer]

But what if the pet likes the teachers better?

[bornofwisdom]

( she raises her brow, having not thought about that one before )

I'm not sure if that's ever happened before.

[soccerwhisperer]

But it could.

[bornofwisdom]

I guess it's possible? But animals are a lot smarter than most people give them credit for, they can tell the difference between a teacher and an owner in most cases.

But anything is possible, so it could happen, yeah.

[soccerwhisperer]

If there is a dragon in the cellar and we find it, should we ask if it has an owner first then?

[bornofwisdom]

It probably wouldn't be able to answer you. Dragons don't speak or anything, but you could try. It might then lead us to it's owner.
