[Nora has finally decided to bite the bullet and go out into the snow. She figures it's probably going to be around for at least another month so she might as well do something, right?

Right.

So she's decided to try her hand at snow sculptures. Some might just make snow men. She got a little more creative with the idea. She's set herself up a fair distance away from the strange people under the light, not wanting to be disrespectful of whatever that's supposed to be. Humming softly to herself she puts the finishing touches on a shark heading straight for an unsuspecting snowman.]

((OOC: That's right, kids. Nora's making Calvin and Hobbes snowmen outside. COME JOIN HER! She, uh, may have put firecrackers in a few of them, too. So watch out for exploding snowmen.))

[Snowmen you say? Well that's one thing that is at least common place no matter the world this time of year, so it's something he knows, and well he always did like looking at how people make them.

So yes he is looking at them, a deerstalker hat on his head (it was a gift don't judge), smiling, standing dangerously close to one in particular.]

[Nora smiles and straightens when she sees him]

Hey! How's it going?

[unnaturalpause]

[James gives her more of a smile as she talks.]

Perfectly well, thank you. And how have you been?

I'm doing alright. Haven't been doing a lot, really. Mostly just working on making things, hanging out with Mark... [Her eyes look at the snowman next to James] Getting into trouble.

[BANG. The firecracker goes off, spraying the top half of the snowman EVERYWHERE]

[unnaturalpause]

Celebrating your - [SHIT! At the firecracker going off his first instinct is to dive for the ground, old soldiers instinct kicking in, so not only is his front covered but so is his back.

Give him a minute Nora to realize what that was, but in the mean time he's laying here on the ground.]

[Sorry, James, Nora is laughing her ass off right now. Through her laughter she manages to ask]

Are you okay?

[unnaturalpause]

[Have a glare Nora as he picks himself up, brushing the snow off of him.]

I'm fine, thank you. What, precisely do you think you are doing?

[She smiles innocently] I'm just having a little fun. It's a prank.

[unnaturalpause]

[He shakes his head at that, grumbling.] A prank? Blowing up snowmen near old men and nearly giving them a heart attack?

[eat_me_beat_me]

I'm sorry. It's not like I knew you were going to come by right then. [She smiled apologetically.]

[unnaturalpause]

[He flashed her a smile back, no harm really now that he was looking himself over.] Bit more, harmless than some. Though I would be careful if any of the more, military minded people came through here.

[eat_me_beat_me]

I would, if I knew any. [She smirks] Most people don't go around broadcasting that, ya know? ... except for those guys who walk around in armor all the time.

[unnaturalpause]

You saw my reaction. [And he rolls his eyes playfully.] The ones in armor are the ones I would be worried about, their reactions. Not all of them would take so kindly to that sort of prank, I do no think.

[She chuckles] Yeah. I never thought you could move so fast.


And alright, I got it, don't prank big armored soldier guys who can shoot me.

[unnaturalpause]

Old habits, and training, is particularly difficult to forget.

[But he does nod at that.] Or could potentially remove your limbs from your body, I think a few are capable of that. [Don't ask him how he knows, he talked with Kat when she was around.]

Hmm. yeah. Hadn't thought about dismemberment.

[She smirks. You know, James. If she were a NORMAL teenager you might be freaking her out about now talking about stuff like that]

[unnaturalpause]

[The idea of normal is not known to James really, considering his own god daughter would have been perfectly fine with this topic too well, it rather slips his mind that he shouldn't be talking about it to her.]

Dismemberment is a very real thing here, as is, falling plague to random illnesses, and other injuries. Startling someone who could cause such a thing, well I would just advice watching what you are doing is all.

[She just stares at him for a moment]

Yeah, because they'll all have a big sign over their head "warning, may cause dismemberment. Proceed with caution."

[unnaturalpause]

Do not give the castle ideas, it may just be so inclined as to do such a thing at some point. Along with such signs as, "Caution, willful young woman ahead."

[She cracks up] I could live with that. Might keep people from being so surprised the minute I open my mouth.

[unnaturalpause]

[He's just chuckling.] Perhaps, or perhaps not. Not many seem to heed such signs, even when they are rather large and brightly colored.

With bright flashing lights?

It seems to be the best way to get others to notice you, yes?
