[Nora has finally decided to bite the bullet and go out into the snow. She figures it's probably going to be around for at least another month so she might as well do something, right?

Right.

So she's decided to try her hand at snow sculptures. Some might just make snow men. She got a little more creative with the idea. She's set herself up a fair distance away from the strange people under the light, not wanting to be disrespectful of whatever that's supposed to be. Humming softly to herself she puts the finishing touches on a shark heading straight for an unsuspecting snowman.]

((OOC: That's right, kids. Nora's making Calvin and Hobbes snowmen outside. COME JOIN HER! She, uh, may have put firecrackers in a few of them, too. So watch out for exploding snowmen.))

[Whatever's going on up in the castle looks way too quiet and respectful for Alex's tastes, so she's headed outside to see how many snowballs she can throw at the backs of people's heads without them noticing.

She's already up to 2.5 points when she spots Nora.

Careful, there's one magically levitating snowball headed right for your back.]

[Geoff was just on his way to go drown himself in alcohol at some tavern (or bar, whatever they called it here) when he notices the ...special snow men. No matter how foul a mood he's been in, this cheers him up considerably. He chuckles and walks over to Nora.]

Decided to take your creative abilities to new heights, I see.

[She doesn't notice the snowball until it hits her.] Shit!

[She whirls around, looking for the source]

[She grins when she sees Geoff]

Always. You should've seen what I did when we were on pirate ships last year. We stopped at a beach and I made a really cool sand sculpture.

[Five's out for a stroll, enjoying all the Lunar Festival decorations, when he spots .... these.

he chuckles as he spots the snow sharks, and is admiring them quite happily when - well -

one of the snowmen nearby EXPLODES and pelts him with snow. he lets out a yell, pulling the brim of his hat down over the sides of his head.

once the danger has passed, he looks around, spots the remnants of the firecrackers, and realizes quickly where the blast must have originated from. laughing, he shakes out his coat]

I must say, that was a use I wouldn't have considered for cherry bombs...

[Nora wipes tears from her eyes as she slowly stops laughing and catches her breath.]

Thanks. I thought so, too.

[Alex does a piss-poor job of pretending she didn't do it. She shrugs, points to the earbuds in her ear - blasting out death metal music - and gives Nora a dramatically bewildered look.]

[Galadriel just happens to be walking by, taking a little time away from the festivities, when she stumbled across Nora and her snow sculptures.

And what does the majestic elf do in response to this sight?

She laughs.]

[Gren is wandering about outside, wrapped in a heavy wool coat and silently taking in the decorations when he stumbles across this sight.

He smirks.]

Snow sharks, huh? That's a new one.

[unnaturalpause]

[Snowmen you say? Well that's one thing that is at least common place no matter the world this time of year, so it's something he knows, and well he always did like looking at how people make them.

So yes he is looking at them, a deerstalker hat on his head (it was a gift don't judge), smiling, standing dangerously close to one in particular.]

[Nora smiles and straightens when she sees him]

Hey! How's it going?

[She smiles brightly]

Thanks. It's no fun doing the same thing everyone else always does, you know?

[Hey, it's nice to see someone enjoying her work. She grins from ear to ear]

[Uh-huh. Not buying it. She crouches down and scoops up a handful of snow, watching the girl with a smile as she forms it into a snowball]

[Oh, Alex does the same thing. Except, with a smirk, she pulls out her wand and mutters a spell; the snowball lifts out of her glove, like it's about to fly at Nora-

But then instead, it drops to the ground and rolls off across the lawn. Alex shrugs.]

Hm. Probably should have rephrased that spell. You tell one snowball to "get a mind of its own" and it thinks it can do whatever it wants.

[She puts her wand back up and walks towards Nora.]

Sweet snowmen.

Clearly. [he smiles, removing his hat and thumping the snow out of it] Enjoying the Lunar Festival?

A most creative form of amusement. [She approves.]

[Nora just... stares... at the wand and the spell casting and the what the fuck is this girl on? She shakes her head and smiles crookedly at Alex]

Thanks. Uh what the hell was all that? [She waves her hand]

Yeah. I don't really get what it's all about but it looks pretty cool.

[She brushes snow off her gloves with a smile]

Hey, thanks. I thought so. What's the fun in just making a plain snowman? I had to do something more original.

And so you have- to a form of artistry, one might say.

Indeed? Now that is a story I have not heard. Did you all hunt for buried treasure and wear eye patches?

I can understand that, though of course sometimes there's nothing wrong with the classics too.

Oh, this? [She holds up her wand and gives it a little twirl; it lets off a few sparks.] Magic. Cool, huh?

[She walks over to one of the snowmen, and spots a bit of firecracker poking out of the snow.]

Woah, is this a firework?

[She looks at the wand, intrigued] Yeah. I haven't really seen any of that up close. There isn't anything like that where I come from.

[When Alex notices the firecracker she grins] Yeah. I put a few of 'em in some of the snowmen.
