[Nora has finally decided to bite the bullet and go out into the snow. She figures it's probably going to be around for at least another month so she might as well do something, right?

Right.

So she's decided to try her hand at snow sculptures. Some might just make snow men. She got a little more creative with the idea. She's set herself up a fair distance away from the strange people under the light, not wanting to be disrespectful of whatever that's supposed to be. Humming softly to herself she puts the finishing touches on a shark heading straight for an unsuspecting snowman.]

((OOC: That's right, kids. Nora's making Calvin and Hobbes snowmen outside. COME JOIN HER! She, uh, may have put firecrackers in a few of them, too. So watch out for exploding snowmen.))

From what I've seen, it looks to be honoring heroes of the past from various worlds. Not a bad thing to do, in my humble opinion.

As well you should, Nora. It's a rare opportunity we have, here. [he smiles, tucking his hands into his pockets] ... Tell me, of all the worlds you've learned of, which interests you the most?

I have, indeed - James is a good friend of mine. [he smiles] He was kind enough to give me a journal about some of those creatures as a Christmas present.

Ah yes, that was an interesting few days, wasn't it? ... Of course you're welcome to see them. Knowledge is to be shared, after all, isn't it?

Try talking to yourself on a daily basis. [a cheeky smile] And you can stop by whenever you like.
cricketycricket: (- actually you know... -)

Oh, no, not at all. [eyebrows] You should try it with five, that was a lark and a half.

Yes - myself and all four of my previous regenerations. We were all pulled from different points in my timeline to the battlefield of the Game of Rassilon, on Gallifrey.
cricketycricket: (- here's the plan -)

[personal profile] cricketycricket 2012-02-15 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
It wasn't. The Game of Rassilon was ... well, the easiest thing for me to compare it to would be the ancient Roman Gladiators of Earth. Only, rather than a simple arena, we had an entire landscape to contend with... and some of the most hostile races in the galaxy.

Originally? ... Yes, unfortunately. But when I was on the playing field, it was because someone wanted to eliminate me, throughout time. Utterly.

It was, yes - especially considering that my companions were dragged into it, as well. It was the President of Gallifrey, actually. He'd heard a rumor that the victor of the games gained immortality, and wanted to trick me into winning so that he could claim it for himself.
cricketycricket: (- passing a bit of judgement -)

[personal profile] cricketycricket 2012-02-22 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
In the end, he ... well, he did get his immortality, but it was hardly what he'd thought it would be. [he frowns, gravely] He became effectively a living statue in the Tomb of Rassilon.
cricketycricket: (- oh; the frowny face! -)

[personal profile] cricketycricket 2012-02-22 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
That's precisely what it was. [he scowls] … Rassilon's last conceit ... a punishment against any who thought they could even begin to match him in infamy.
