Day One: Party!

[it's the summer solstice and a huge group of demigods safely made it to camp. This is clearly a good omen for things to come. The camp is alive with music and dancing. The satyrs are jamming on their lutes and the tree nymphs come out of the trees to dance. Everybody's invited!

The party will go on long into the night. It's all for you guys, so have a blast!]

[ Lucky girl, you do have a knight now. A soothing smile takes over his lips. ]

I apologize. I wish I could have made this with my Cloth present. You may think I am joking because of my looks.

( sweet, it's like she's a princess now! )

It's okay, I believe you if only because of how you didn't think I was crazy for saying Athena is my mom, actually.

( because mortals might have thought as much. )

[ Technically, she is! \o/ ]

Then we thought about the same. [ Now he feels more at ease. ] I was told my Goddess was beautiful even before taking a human form.

( don't tell her that, she'll wibble and flail and deny it forever. )

I don't know what she looks like in anything but her human form. They say that looking upon the Gods in their true forms will incinerate us from its intensity. But she's beautiful, and kind, and wise, and... ( okay, let's stop the fangirling of your own mother, Annabeth.

she blushes at his comment to her, though. )

Beautiful? Me? Hardly... But thanks anyway.

[ Adorable daughter is adorable. ]

Indeed you are. And she-- [ Suddenly keeps quiet. Now that he thinks about it, he can't remember how Athena looked like. It's as if a black mist was covering his mind... How can that be possible?

He realizes the abrupt silence and offers Annabeth an apologetic smile. In compensation... ] There is a statue of Athena at the Sanctuary. Her face looks gentle and wise, she has wavy hair and is holding her shield in her left hand and Nike in her right.

I—I'm not— ( this is just going to be an endless argument, so she's just going to focus on talking about her mother. )

I've seen that kind of statue before of mom, in museums. She's so amazing, I want to be just like her. I want to build things and help people and to train so I'm as wise in battle as she, and...

( ffft, more fangirling. okay, that's going to stop now. really. all done. )

[ Okay. He won't argue, heh. But look! How cute and happy she looks! ]

I know you will be like her someday. And we can do something about the training part.

I've been training pretty well since I was seven, when I first came to Camp Half-Blood, but. ( she smiles ) I'd never turn down a spar to keep up with my learning.

[ Yeah, he was waiting for her to say it. A smug grin in response to the challenge. ]

I will not be so lenient, so you have to be ready when the moment comes.

( she returns his grin with a smirk of her own. )

I'm always ready, Saga.

[ He sits and makes a gesture for her to sit beside him. ]

Tell me, what kind of training did you have?

( lowering herself to sit once more, she tilts her head in thought. )

Mm, hand-to-hand, sword combat, knife skills, archery...

[ Wow! That pretty much does it! But... ]

Have you heard about the Cosmo?

Cosmo?

( there's a variety of things he could mean, so, she's lost on the specifics here. )

[ Gazes at the sky. ]

As you may know, the universe was created as the result of an explosion that happened millions of years ago, the Big Bang. Saints are born and blessed with a superhuman energy thanks to a cosmic explosion that occurs within them.

With said energy they can open the lands and crash the stars.

( she watches as he talks. he's so passionate about it, it sort of sends tingles along her spine. )

...and that's called Cosmo?

[ It is then that his gaze begins to roam the ground and picks up a heavy and hard stone. ]

This is what we do with our strength.

[ And so he presses the stone with his bare hand and shatters in a lot of small pieces, all of them falling from his palm. With his other hand he massages the one he made use of. The camp sure did take most of his strength away. ]

( leaning to watch him, she widens her eyes when he crushes the stone with his hand alone. raising her brows she lifts her gaze to look at him. )

...that was kind of amazing. I've seen things like that before, but mostly Cyclopes or other creatures. Not humans.

[ A satisfied smile once he tosses all the remaining stone dust from his hand. ]

All things are made of atoms. Once you destroy them you destroy their atoms as well.

Only humans who are chosen by Athena to become Saints can do it.

Their atoms? ( she watches the dust get lost in the ground below ) You just annihilated that rock then.

All of her warriors can do things like that?

I did, yes. The usage of our Cosmo depends on what we want to annihilate.

All the eighty-eight Saints of her Order have the ability to do so, guided by the protection of their guardian constellations.

Wait.
Can you annihilate anything you want to?

( whoooaa, eighty-eight? that's... a lot. thank gods there's just the one who's trying to be her knight right now. any more and she'd be having a heart attack. )
