Day Five: Hellhounds!

[the howls have been getting more and more frequent as the day has gone on. And now there is creepy barking and other evil dog noises. One might even see something in the shadows. It's a hellhound! The camp is under attack!

Heroes, bear arms! Or find a place to hide!]

[it seems safe but there have been monsters here in the past. The harpies are hovering]

Mess Hall: Caution

[why are you even trying to eat at a time like this?]

[Clint has his bow and a couple of quivers as he's making his way into the arena, before pausing... and just staring at the hellhounds.]

Well, I've gotta admit that this is different.

[Hawkeye notches an arrow before slowly starting to make his way in.]

[the hellhounds are all over the place. The only one missing is the big friendly one. These hellhounds notice Clint immediately and bare their teeth]

[ And Eva just kind of waaaanders in. ]

...Huh. I thought Ino said there was only one of you here.

[ kory's just hovering from above, watching the creatures skulk about before her eyes start glowing, starbolts forming in her hands ]

This is a place for children, not for monsters.

[And here's another archer heading to the armoury, mostly to grab a few knives. He has an arrow notched, but won't actually fire unless one of the big brutes attacks first.]

So this place is pretty much safe.

However, Tony's also made an important discovery, as he's holding a bottle of rum. ]

Holy crap, I'm not reverse Jesus any more!

[Danny warily backs up as he eyes the arena for a good place to transform into his ghost form.]

[Nope, they can kindly bugger off from one of the few quiet places in this crapsack camp.

Maladict has got herself as high as she can manage as is just firing off arrows at them. It's not the same as having a horsebow, but it'll do]

[Apollo observes the situation for a moment before his eyes light up and suddenly he's shooting lasers of energy out at the hellhounds.]

It's been awhile since I've gotten a good workout.

[the hellhounds bark at her and try leaping up to get at her]

[they take offense to being called "nice" and attack]

[they seem confused. You're a monster too so they're not sure what to do]

[they scatter as the arrows come. One gets hit and burst into dust. At least they're easy to kill]
