Day Five: Hellhounds!

[the howls have been getting more and more frequent as the day has gone on. And now there is creepy barking and other evil dog noises. One might even see something in the shadows. It's a hellhound! The camp is under attack!

Heroes, bear arms! Or find a place to hide!]

[Alan's not one for violence, so he's found himself a shield. It won't do much - it's only about ten pounds or so - but it's something. Any heavier and he wouldn't be as mobile as he's trying to be.

He's moving from cabin to cabin, checking each one - a man on a mission. You don't get between a man and his surrogate kids. Especially not a man from Athena cabin.]

[Gary's sitting on his bunk in the cabin with a knife and his journal next to him. He'd checked in with Wyoming via journal and they'd agreed it probably wasn't the best of ideas to go out until this mess is over so here he is. ]

Maladict has got herself as high as she can manage as is just firing off arrows at them. It's not the same as having a horsebow, but it'll do]

[Zelos was hanging near here when he heard the hellhounds. And since he kinda likes fighting? He's not going to shy away from it. So he's going in there, activating his wings (cause hey loss means different skillset) and drawing his sword as he goes to see what's there]

[So it's a little more open then she would have liked, but this is where South ended up so this is where she'll be attacking. She's creeping along the edge, a halberd in one hand as she tries to get a layout of the amphitheater and size up her opponents.]

[Normally, he'd probably just stay at the big house and ignore the fact that they were being invaded. What did he care if hellhounds ate some campers? He didn't really like any of them, anyway.

But being stuck here has gotten under his skin, and so he's out instead, sword in hand and ready to stab the first hound that comes his way.]

[ Why has he never bothered to learn to fight with weapons? Those would be so useful right now. Rocks? Rocks aren't weapons, and while he can hurl them from the top seat of the amphitheater, those things still look large, and angry, and like they could probably kill him.

So nows a good time to make a note to himself to find someone to take him how to use a weapon. For now he's got a pile of rocks for distance, and a sword he knows fuck all about using for if they get close.

God, he hopes they don't get close. ]

[Connor's snagged a bow and arrow and some knives for himself (thankful that he... somewhat... knows how to use a bow) and is up in the stands, an arrow notched and staring down this... whatever it is.

He's going to do whatever he can to try to keep it in the amphitheater and away from the rest of the camp]

[Clint has his bow and a couple of quivers as he's making his way into the arena, before pausing... and just staring at the hellhounds.]

Well, I've gotta admit that this is different.

[Hawkeye notches an arrow before slowly starting to make his way in.]

[ kory's just hovering from above, watching the creatures skulk about before her eyes start glowing, starbolts forming in her hands ]

This is a place for children, not for monsters.

[Danny warily backs up as he eyes the arena for a good place to transform into his ghost form.]

[Apollo observes the situation for a moment before his eyes light up and suddenly he's shooting lasers of energy out at the hellhounds.]

It's been awhile since I've gotten a good workout.

[Not for Sheena, she had come looking for the big dog she had played with, only to stop by the Armory for a sword when she heard the howls. The blade would normally be supplemental to her regular arsenal of cards and summons, but they had to be supplied for a reason--like maybe they're more effective against these things. Racing inside, she looked around eagerly.]

Where's the friendly one? You had better not have hurt her!

[A girl who has been trained primarily in hand to hand fighting really should not be trying to face hellhounds. Particularly when she's relying on weapons now - an axe in her left hand, and a sword in her right.

She hasn't been trained in either nearly enough, but she's already lost way too many friends to Paradisa just... being Paradisa, and she will be damned if she will let any of the friends she has left here be attacked by giant dogs.

So she goes into the arena, being smart and keeping the walls behind her back, staying as near to the gate to the rest of the camp as she can. She's taking down as many of the monsters as possible, helping people out if she's close enough, and finding that, while she can defend herself relatively well with the weapons she has, she's not really exceptional at attacking with them, and it's starting to be a bit of a problem.]

Big House: Safe

So this place is pretty much safe.

However, Tony's also made an important discovery, as he's holding a bottle of rum. ]

Holy crap, I'm not reverse Jesus any more!

[And here's another archer heading to the armoury, mostly to grab a few knives. He has an arrow notched, but won't actually fire unless one of the big brutes attacks first.]

[Jane, this is exactly how chicks in horror movies die, so why did you run into the forest when the hellhounds appeared? And are you sure clutching that bronze thing your spoon turned into is going to keep you safe?]

[Well a while ago, Sam had been on a quest to get some snacks as he usually does and then there were scary noises, so he's kind of been camped out for a bit.

And then there are more scary noises, so Sam keeps underneath the table he's been crouched under for a while now.]
