[The funny thing about this is that Katherine would've kept quiet. She would've waited to see who would betray her, who would sell her out to the wolf (nearly literally) on the horizon.

She knows, if she wants to stay ahead of this, she needs to be pro-active and running and hiding isn't enough.

Elena would face him, which she realizes is idiotic and foolish, because that's just what the doppelganger is. It's in that mindset that Katherine knows she can't just hide and she can't be herself, either. It's convenient, really, the fact that they'd all left the castle recently and returned. She'd ensured to keep herself out of sight and hasn't spoken to anyone since returning here.]

If you're looking for Katherine, she's gone. [She exhales, that telling breath of frustration that edges into every single sentence that Elena speaks. It's the frustration o a girl who has had her life turned upside down by things out of her control, and yet she walks right back into the fire for the feeling she has for someone.]

She didn't come back with us from camp and if you're wondering, which I'm sure you are, she attempted to warn the castle about you being here.

[Korra's sitting in the lobby with Naga at her feet as she skims the journal. When she hears this dude spouting stuff, she looks up from the book with a bored expression.]

[ He drops the journal to floor and smirks, rubbing his chin. ]

[She's heading to the library when the speech first comes filtering through the journal. There's enough there to immediately cause the hair on the back of her neck to stand up. It's not natural instinct, but hard-earned over the course of five years -- and it works well enough all the same.

They can't die? Fred's already wondering if this is who Lilah warned them about when a name whispers through.

And then she's moving, because there is that hint of an echo. A stereo sound to the words that isn't perfect. She had started taking vervain again after Lilah's warning, despite how much Fred hated what it meant. But that isn't why she follows the sound of the words. And that isn't why Fred steps out into the lobby, chin tilted after taking only a moment to study him]
