[ You know who Uru hasn't spoiled in a while?

Pharos.

She hasn't seen or hung out with him in quite some time too, so when he asked to go shopping because he wanted some new clothes, there wasn't any way she was declining. The best thing about her job now at the coffee house? She gets weekends totally free.

Browsing through the tables, she spots a nice red hoodie and then checks for the size label on it. ]

What do you think of this one? Or is it too bright?

I am somewhat more accustomed to zippers at this point, I believe. They do not give me nearly the degree of difficulty they did when I first attempted to use them.

[Reaching for dat sweater. It looks comfy. 8> ]

[ She hands it over to him. ]

They're a lot easier than buttons. And faster.

[ She points to one of the changing stalls, where the mirror is usually kept. ]

You can go over there to see how it looks in the mirror.

[Pharos takes it and looks it over, and hands the smaller sweater back to her. He can't tell much about clothing, really, but it seems like something that would be good for the cold. Which was good, right? Uru would worry less then, which was half the point of wearing different clothing, as far as he was concerned.]

Then I will be back shortly. I will do my best to not take very long.

[And he wanders over to the changing stall and disappears into it, like a good kidlet.]

It's okay! If you need any help, just call for me. [ She glances back at the tables, then goes over to where the changing stall is. She doesn't enter, just hanging around outside of it in case Pharos does need her help. ]

[It takes... considerably longer than it probably should just to try a sweater on. Especially since Pharos wouldn't actually need to do any changing around. But eventually... no, no one that looks like Pharos actually exits the changing room at all.

Instead, a young man comes out wearing the sweater Uru picked out. Under the sweater, he just has plain pants similar to the color Minato wore with his uniform, and a white shirt.

He tugs at the sweater, and immediately walks over to Uru with a grin.] I told you it would fit, did I not?

[...oh, wait. He lifts a hand, and pushes his hair back. He's getting much better with that part. And did I mention he doesn't seem to have shoes on?]

[amiable]

[ It doesn't sink in yet that this boy exited the same stall Pharos was in. Instead, Uru tilts her head in confusion. She looks around, as if expecting someone else to be there. Then she faces him. ]

I'm sorry? [ Who are you? ]

[bedninja]

Am I truly so difficult to recognize like this?

[He giggles, but it comes out sounding more like a proper laugh than it usually does.]

You said that the sweater would not fit me because I was too small, and I assured you that it would.

I don't--

[ She does glimpse into his eyes and a tug at her heart tells her she knows them from somewhere.

But then she notices the sweater and lack of shoes. ]

[ Wait.

How? ]

[ LOOKS SO CONFUSED. This is impossible.

BRB rubbing eyes. ]

[ You broke her brain. ]

[His smile widens all the more when she finally catches on. And man, is it weird to look down at her instead of up.]

Yes! Admittedly I thought it might be a little difficult for you to recognize me like this, but I did not believe it would be quite that much of a problem. I apologize if it was.

How are you-- [ She might be pinching her arm to wake up from this dream. ] Is this a loss?!

[He looks way too amused.]

Of course not! What made you think that I was incapable of doing something like this?

If I could look like a little boy whenever I wished to, I see no reason I could not look like this as well. So I simply tried to one day, and I was right!

The clothing has been something of a problem, however. I was uncertain of what to do about it.

Just like that?! [ It occurs to her she has NO IDEA what other powers Pharos has. She can't stop staring at him either, like he's a figment of her imagination. ]

You're... taller! And you sound like Minato-kun! [ OR NITA SO HOPES HE DOES... ]

Of course. Did you believe it would really be so difficult?

[He looks rather proud of himself at the tall comment. That was one of the perks to this! He didn't have to look up at people all the time. ...even if he was used to it, Pharos could always appreciate getting to see things from a different view.]

That is because he is the easiest person for me to resemble. Aside from my hair when I am smaller, I imagine I look quite similar to him when he was a child, as well. [Man idek he probably does, it's all good.]

[ The similarities are uncanny. She can't help but feel weirded out by all this. Slowly, she reaches forward to put both hands on either side of his face. IS HE REAL... HE FEELS REAL... ]

You're... really Pharos.

[He's very real! Obviously her fingers won't just go through him. That isn't how it works!]

Of course I am. I would not lie about something like that to you, Uru.

[ TUGS ON CHEEKS. ]

[Uru why are you tugging on his cheeks. That makes talking difficult.]

So... you can change whenever you want?

Of course.

However... this form takes some effort to maintain, while remaining "young" is quite effortless. So I found it troublesome to remain this way for extended periods of time. It makes me much more obvious to others than I typically like.

[ She steps back, letting go of his face, but she has to actually look up. ]
