[It's been about two weeks since Alex arrived back at the castle, fresh from a bizarre and unsettling three month stay in Paris, and much to her relief those muddy, missing memories have finally started to return in full. The layout of the castle is different, and a few names are still pretty jumbled up, but for the most part her previous stay in Paradisa is clear as crystal. 

Except that she can't, for the life of her, figure out why her teleportation magic isn't working.]

Dude, this is so not the kitchen. 

[Confused, she flashes back out of the room, appearing right in front of-]

Disney movies? They're like cartoons, but with more annoying songs. Only kids and sappy adults who wish they were kids watch them.

We tend the fields, read books, play games, cook, all kinds of stuff.

You actually tend fields for fun? What are you, Ivanhoe?

[She has no idea who Ivanhoe is but the "hoe" part of his name leads her to believe he must be a farmer, right?]

...Who's Ivanhoe? And the fields have to be tended or we won't have any food.

[delincuente]

I have no idea.

So you guys don't have, like, grocery stores or anything?

[huffythedragon]

We sure do, and cafes!

[delincuente]

Then why don't you just get your food there instead of having to, like, farm and junk?

[huffythedragon]

We do, but the food comes from the farms, it doesn't just magically appear.

[She has to think about this for a moment.]

Oh. Huh. I guess that makes sense.

Isn't that how it works on Earth?

Well, I guess. But I mean it's not like there are farms where I live, so you don't really think about it much, you know?

Oh, so it's kinda like living in a city.

[delincuente]

Well, yeah. Only not "kinda like". I do live in a city. Like, the biggest one on the planet.

[huffythedragon]

Bigger than that Paris place?

[delincuente]

Pfft, way bigger than Paris. And the buildings are, like, ten times taller.

[huffythedragon]

Wow. I was hatched in a big city, but it's nowhere near as big as that.

[delincuente]

Probably because there's, like, no way a bunch of ponies could live in a hundred-story building.

[huffythedragon]

But they do in Manehattan!

[delincuente]

[Sorry, Alex may or may not be cracking the fuck up at the fact that there's a place called "Manehattan". She's trying her best not to do it into the journal, though. Pfft, that would be so rude, right?]

[She finishes laughing, and then makes a dramatic gasping noise.]

Oh, yeah, definitely. Massive hunk of... some kind of fruit. Yeah. They practically had to do mouth-to-mouth.
