 [As he slowly woke up, Conan was distantly aware of a pounding headache.  He stares blankly up at the ceiling for a minute, before finally processing that he had somehow arrived in the clinic in Paradisa again.]

Oh.  So it is this place again.

[He blindly reaches out for his journal and opens it long enough to dictate a quick message.]

I'm awake.  Could anyone tell me what happened?  How long has it been?

[Then he's slumping back against his pillows again.]

[It takes Conan a moment to place Spike's voice. To him, it had been months since he last spoke to the dragon.]

I'm fine, Spike. There was really no need to worry.

...What do you mean?

[huffythedragon]

I'm really glad.

Well, uh, you were knocked out, but it was kind of embarrassing.

[modernholmes]

Spike. [Conan's voice was calm, but impatient.]

Just tell me what happened.

[huffythedragon]

Okay, but remember I tried to give you the easy out.

You were playing soccer in the hallway and someone opened a door at the wrong time and you kind of...knocked yourself out with your own ball.

[modernholmes]

[That sounded disturbingly familiar. Conan remembered the incident with the kidnappers who had surprised the detective boys in the abandoned building. He'd been captured and forced to give the kids directions through a tap code. Haibara hadn't let him forget that mistake for weeks.]

...I see. Who was it?

[huffythedragon]

What? Who opened the door? He never mentioned. That Heiji guy found you.

I guess I'll have to talk to him, then.

...Don't worry, this is hardly the worst thing that has ever happened to me.

I know, but it's still pretty tough.

[modernholmes]

For a few months. [His tone is deliberately evasive.]

[modernholmes]

[Because he likes to keep secrets until the moment they will give him the most advantage.]

Mmm, everything was okay. [Apart from the situation with Bourbon and his worried suspicion that Haibara's identity may have been revealed.]

...Just okay? Nothing interesting at all? [Interesting things happen to HIM dude and he lives in a magical pony world]

There were lots of interesting cases. [That he did no plan on giving Spike the details of. He might have been mostly clueless on social matters, but even Shinichi understood that discussing murder cases and the recent near death of the kids with someone was young as SPike was a bad idea.]

Many of them were very interesting.

Ah, but it was very nice seeing Ran-neechan and Uncle again. I went on some adventures with the detective boys too.

Well that's always good, right? Seeing the people you miss back home again.

[modernholmes]

Mm, it was. I was glad to see they're all still okay.

[huffythedragon]

Stop doing that in public places. One of these days someone will be near.

[He rubs at his head.] Fine. Just a headeache.

Huh? Ah... I was on a case-somethin' like a robbery turned even more sour. Last I had seen ya was at that case involvin' optical illusions.

[modernholmes]

That was a very long time ago for me.

[He grows silent.]

While I was unconscious in this place I was living through several more months of time at home.
