all-night laundromat blues (backdated to Monday morning)
[Monday morning finds the Doctor stepping out of the TARDIS to go and get the milk for his morning tea, journal tucked under his arm...
only, the moment he steps out, he's surprised to realize that he isn't parked in his own room, any longer, but the laundry room. as he turns to go back in and move the TARDIS back to where it belongs -- it dematerializes without him, leaving him standing there perplexed in his pajamas and slippers]
Oh, dear. ... What's that all about, then, old girl? You've never done that before ...
((OOC: Loss involvement start! Five will be trapped here with Joshua until Wednesday!))

Just waiting for whoever the hell it was going to be this time. Ugh. ]
...You forgot your laundry.
[ ooc; Aaaand don't be surprised if he starts trying to lock people out by Tuesday. ]

[he turns, both surprised and entirely unsurprised, somehow, by his company.]
So you didn't leave with them.

That would be an awful lot of ground to cover to play catch-up, don't you think?

[he's surprised Joshua isn't trying to leave, but he'll lean against a cabinet. if he's got the chance to talk to him face-to-face, he's not going to waste it, no matter how oddly it's come about]
You never did tell me what happened. ... How you got your horns back.

[idly] So I suppose the more proper question is, why wouldn't you?

Oh? ... And who would be? In your eyes.

Action [Monday evening if that's okay!]
But the laundry room's generally empty, so it's a bit of a surprise that it's occupied when he enters. And come to think of it, he's never really considered the Doctor doing laundry... He doesn't know the room's other occupant.]
Evening.
Totally!
Hallo, Alan. Been a while, hasn't it?

Yeah, it has. How've you been? I really like that book on Gallifreyan programming.
And, if you don't mind me asking, why have you two holed up in the laundry room, of all places?
no subject
As for this, well -- [he gives Alan a meaningful, if not quite pointed look] -- I'm afraid the castle decided I needed to have a bit of quality time with the washers and dryers.
