all-night laundromat blues (backdated to Monday morning)

[Monday morning finds the Doctor stepping out of the TARDIS to go and get the milk for his morning tea, journal tucked under his arm...

only, the moment he steps out, he's surprised to realize that he isn't parked in his own room, any longer, but the laundry room. as he turns to go back in and move the TARDIS back to where it belongs -- it dematerializes without him, leaving him standing there perplexed in his pajamas and slippers]

Oh, dear. ... What's that all about, then, old girl? You've never done that before ...

((OOC: Loss involvement start! Five will be trapped here with Joshua until Wednesday!))

Action [Monday evening if that's okay!]

[Alan has actually come to appreciate the weekly task of doing his laundry. The laundry room is generally peaceful compared to the activity that abounds in the other areas of the castle, and the methodical washing process is calming and therapeutic.

But the laundry room's generally empty, so it's a bit of a surprise that it's occupied when he enters. And come to think of it, he's never really considered the Doctor doing laundry... He doesn't know the room's other occupant.

Evening.

[ He's just watching...like a creeper. What else to do? ]
is0latedthinker: (82 - you invented space paranoids?)

[Alan returns the smile, but notes that when he does his laundry it'll be over theeere, not over here. Potentially awkward, that.]

Yeah, it has. How've you been? I really like that book on Gallifreyan programming.

And, if you don't mind me asking, why have you two holed up in the laundry room, of all places?

I've been hold up in rooms all week. This is just the worst one yet.

[Alan grimaces. Losses. Fun times.] That's unfortunate.

How long's it been so far?
ofhope: ([ a memory i won't ])

It's been over ten days already for me.

Yes, I can't imagine it would be. The quiet's healthy in small doses, though I imagine you've the TARDIS for that. [Quiet being relative of course. The white noise of the washers and dryers going is its own kind of quiet.]

Ten days? Ouch.
